Psychosis is one of the most severe manifestations of mental illness. Some degree of losing touch with reality. Some of these people retreat into their own inner world and would be fairly happy if they were left there.
In the old days, these people would be admitted to an asylum and left to live out their life in their own little world. Modern antipsychotic medication has the power to drag these people kicking and screaming back to the real world.
If this happened to you would you prefer to spend the rest of your days as James Bond or the Queen of England of whoever in your own little world or would you want to be dagged back to harsh reality? |
