Moms death certificate came today....cause of death:
Complications from chronic alcoholism.
Yes, I had a good idea that was the cause...yes I quit drinking over five years ago because I knew it ran in our blood...yes, my grandmother died from the same disease around the same age as mom (59) YES YES YES...
but, I was hoping, even praying...that it was something different...
No, I wouldn't have went out and drank....No no no NO....I was just....well....*sigh*
I feel sad and satisfied at the same time...strangest feeling ever.

So, moms partay is tomorrow and I'm excited!
We're grilling up steak, chicken, hotdogs, hamburgers...I made potato salad gonna make the relish dish in the morning....
Picking up the keg tomorrow afternoon...good times *grin*
I remember Majik commenting in one of my blogs around xmas....he stated that I would work through things...of course he stated it way more elequently then that ...but ya, that's what I got...
He's right, I did, and much much MUCH stronger....all that "self reflection" "resenting my friends" shit ....well, I worked through it.
Now, I'm throwing a kegger.

We are almost done, my house is packed with moms stuff and she seems happy (she likes it here)
It's almost like it was before she passed....she was here but not here...strange I know ...but totally true.
Anyway, today is the Peaple's Fair...one of moms favoritist things to do...SO WE'RE GOING...

The last three days have been CRAZY!!!
lots of laughs, tears and hugs....
Anywho, we are almost done with the apartment..one more load of stuff to my house, a quick clean and steam clean and viola....DONE!!!

Thank GOD! for my best friend Gabby, for without her, I would never had gotten done *happy "I love my friends grin" She busted my ass and her own and we are almost done!!!

#1=Burial arrangements complete. Mom will be under the care of the funeral home on Monday (they will be picking her up) Tuesday the services will be preformed and Wednesday we will be picking her up.
Fast huh?
#2=Picked up moms pets from the animal shelter, they are happier but are still grieving, poor babies! :(
#3=Cleaned up moms apartment some. Boogie and my bro and I took out some trash and the items we KNOW we wanted. lots of smiles and tears....but worth every moment.
I will be helping my bro out as much as possible this weekend and next week. LOL! my mom was a total pack rat...and ya, lots of cleaning to be done.
So, text me if you got it & I may take my laptop and pop in during breaks.

4 days later we still don't know the cause of death, and still can't get into her apartment.
it's driving me crazy!!!!

I heard the news yesterday, my mom has passed away.
She surrvived almost a full 5 years over what the docs gave her to live if she didn't stop drinking.
She never stopped, she couldn't, and that's sad.
She lost her daughter, her home, her grandkids, her animals, her memories...and for what?
*shrug*
She is in a better place now, and I'm glad. Death was her only escape from this awfull disease.
I thank her for showing me the way to quitting, for without her I may have never quit.

ps...I stashed "white bird" in her memory. The David Leflamme concert she took me to when I was in 6th grade is my fondest memory of her. She taught me how to flip someone off....LOL!
