A 40 year old man in a small town in England is making over 100,000 a year as a fortune teller and artist. 5 years ago he developed an illness which causes constant hypersecretion of nasal mucous (snot). The fluctuating course of the illness causes changes in the colour and consistency of the snot. Ulceration in the nose causes small amounts of bleeding, giving the snot a variable, multicoloured appearance.
He now earns his living by blowing his nose into tissue paper and "interpreting" the patterns for customers as a method of fortune telling. He has also sold several of the soiled tissues as modern art.
