[note: The following is from my Zoosk profile. I'm mainly looking for a relationship, but I'd also LOVE to just simply meet a friend, as practically the only one I have is my cat, Tigger. :^P ]

My name is Shane, and I am looking for someone who is easy to talk to. I've lived here in Kingfisher since I was born, but hope to move to either Suburban California or Southern Canada. I also hope to become a creative writer, putting together either short stories or song lyrics. I used to be an outcast in high school, but since graduating, I've become increasingly more outgoing. This is mostly thanks to my one and only true relationship I've had, which lasted for five years. Thanks to her, I became more in touch with my sociable side. It's the one thing I've definitely taken from the experience.

perfectMatch:
- First and foremost, someone who is easy to talk to and get along with.
- Someone kind, loving, and affectionate.
- Looks aren't extremely important. What matters more to me is an individual's personality.

ideal 1stDate:
Perhaps going to a movie, eating out, or even simply hanging out and striking up a conversation. Whatever you feel like doing, I'm perfectly up for.

- Finally, something NOT from my Zoosk profile, that I just wrote 4here ; -
I tend to lean toward the "tom-girlish" side, though I'm not certain if the term has been used before. I generally find myself being the opposite of a female tomboy. Just as tomboys don't directly translate to "lesbian", I don't see myself as "gay", simply more in touch w/My feminine side than my masculine, and I've always tended to get along better with gals than I have guys. But I am NOT looking for a guy to hook-up with, as I've already had five relationships with girlfriends and that's certainly what I'm looking for. In fact, though the other four hardly lasted, my last relationship was really the only true love I've ever known... and was probably the most important thing to ever happen to me.

Her name was Crystal, and we were together for five years. She truly is the reason I became more open to getting out, instead of being to myself like I was practically ever since kindergarten. The thing is, she was always a tomboy, ever since her childhood. I happen to be attracted to the tomboy-ish type of woman... whether they lean toward a metal chick, punk, goth, a "rough-necked cowgirl", someone that's into rap and baggy jeans and hoodies, or whatever. No matter what style you may be, if you're a "tomboy" or whatever, you're my kind of person, and we'll get along great. :^) I would like a woman who isn't afraid to put their arm around me... I know it's odd, but it's who iAm, and I'm not afraid to admit it. I know I'll be hard-pressed to find a woman like this, and I've been told by one of my four short-lived girlfriends that I should be gay. But I'm not. And my one long-term, five-year relationship opened my eyes to that. I just need to find someone as open and understanding as she was. And I Believe I will.

Interests
Music is my passion, as well as being creative. I dream of being a writer, or artist, or even singer/songwriter. I've drawn since I was five, written since I was 10, and when I was very young I even thought of becoming a video game designer. I've always loved expressing myself, as well as telling a story, so if I could get into a career where I could put my creativity into my work then that would be all I could ask for, regardless of how much money I earned. I also enjoy movies, tv, getting outside when I can despite living in a boring small town... I've been a gamer since I was three, and watched wrestling since around the same time, both due to my mom getting me into them. And although I know this may turn off many people... I enjoy working on my own personal style. And yes, I know, that sounds "girly"... mainly because for me, it is. This is detailed further in my 'about me' section...

Books:
I haven't read in a long time, but when I was younger I could read four or more books in the span of a week. I now focus alot on my own writing, which would never have developed had it not been for the countless hours I spent reading during my youth. I do however hope to return to reading sometime soon. I'm in the middle of the third auto-biography written by professional wrestler, Mick Foley, but I've been so for approximately two to three years now, as I hardly ever set aside time to finish it, but when I do, I tend to finish a good deal of it. I'm beginning to prioritize, and when I'm finished with this book, I intend on starting "Wizard's First Rule" by Terry Goodkind. I definitely need to work on my time management skills...
Music
Music:
Music is my passion, & I'm incredibly eclectic. I practically like anything as long as I'm in a certain mood for it. I especially love 80s music, such as 80s hair metal, alternative music, pop music, and my favorite rap music is from the 80s. Though, I have begun to enjoy both 90s as well as even current rap... and I also like older Country music, like Hank Williams Sr. and Johnny Cash. In addition, I LOVE Enya, an Irish songstress. She has an absolutely beautiful voice. She's perhaps my fave artist. Just to name a few others I like; U2, Marilyn Manson, Nirvana, Biggie, Lady Gaga, Seal, Depeche Mode, the Foo Fighters, the GooGoo Dolls, Vertical Horizon, Talking Heads, Nicki Minaj, Men in Hats [the Safety Dance = FTW :^) ], Ozzy Osbourne, Taylor Swift, Snoop, Pink Floyd, FlyLeaf, Paramore, Alanis Morisette, Puff Daddy, Katy Perry, Twizted and a little bit of ICP [but I am NOT a Juggalo. Have absolutely no problem w/Them though, as I am just as eclectic w/Who I get along with as the music I listen to :^) ], Veruca Salt, Tone Loc, Lil Jon, Poison, Def Leppard, Duran Duran, Green Day, Pearl Jam, Lady Antabellum, Korn, Rob Zombie, Sinead O'Connor, The Beastie Boys, Queensryche, 3rd Eye Blind, Cher, Breaking Benjamin, Coolio, Tatu, 30 Seconds 2 Mars... you can literally name just about anything, and I pretty much will like it. Oh... and "Weird" Al Yankovic. Parody humor is an absolute favorite of mine.
Movies
I'm about as eclectic when it comes to movies as I am with my taste in music. Comedy, drama, action, horror, suspense, sci-fi, fantasy... But especially anything with a parody style of humor. For example, Mel Brooks' "SpaceBalls", "Young Frankenstein", "Robin Hood : Men in Tights". My idol, Leslie Nielsen [r.i.p.] in flicks such as the "Naked Gun" series, "Airplane!", "2001 : A Space Travesty". As well as the first two Scary Movies, Nielsen's appearances in the later two Scary Movies, & Charlie Sheen's "Hot Shots!"... An early indicator of his talent for... well... bi-winning. :^P

Recently, "The Craft" has become perhaps my ultimate favorite movie. ESPECIALLY Fairuza Balk's portrayal of 'Nancy', the lead witch. I also loved her as Dorothy in "Return to Oz" as a child, far before I even knew of "The Craft" or the absolutely awesome woman that ties them both together. I practically take her character 'Nancy' as a Goddess... so that wouldn't make me a "wiccan"... but a Nancy-Boi. LOVE her. :^)
Idols
First and foremost, my mom and god-mom... Leslie Nielsen, Shigeru Miyamato [creator of Super Mario, Zelda, Metroid, as well as many others], Enya, Fairuza Balk ["The Craft", "Return to Oz"], pro-wrestler Steve Borden, aka Sting [not the musician... although I do have one of the former 'Police' vocalist's solo albums. Again... I'm very eclectic. :^P ]
Video Games
I've been a video gamer since I was three years old, and I'm just as eclectic w/My gaming tastes as I am with just about everything else. My first console was the original Nintendo Entertainment System, which one of my mom's old best friends gave me as a young child. I grew up on the Super Mario Bros. series, and still have all three, as well as Mario All-Stars for the Super NES, and a HUGE collection of NES and SNES games. I also have a wide assortment of Genesis games, as well as the Genesis, NES, and SNES of my youth. I have the Sega DreamCast, their swan song system, which for I of course own 'Sonic Adventure'. I have the original PlayStation and a heap of PSX games... the PS2, the Nintendo GameCube and Wii... I USED to own the original black & white GameBoy, which I had as soon as it was released, but I've lost that and my Sega GameGear over the years due to moving from place to place here in this same small town.

And finally, I received the X-Box last Christmas, along with Kinect, and it's definitely light years beyond the Nintendo Power Glove I grew up on. :^P I've also always been a computer gamer as well, as I owned an assortment of computer games before I ever had the internet, a little over a decade ago. The game genres I like include ; classic platformers [as mentioned, I grew up hooked on the Brothers, as well as Sonic the Hedgehog], shooters like Halo and GoldenEye 007, MMORPGs like Guild Wars, action RPGs like the Legend of Zelda series [especially a Link to the Past], racing games like San Francisco Rush for the N64 and the Need 4 Speed series, action games like MegaMan, Ratchet & Clank and Grand Theft Auto, puzzle games like Dr. Mario and Tetrisphere, action sports games like Tony Hawk, WWF No Mercy, the Mario Sports Series, & NBA Jam... and one of my all-time favorite series, Worms, which is a turn-based strategy game starring... well, worms. :^P

Yes, I am indeed a huge nerd... not just when it comes to games, but books, writing, poetry, and even movies and tv in some ways. So sue me. ... But not literally. 'Cuz I can't afford it. :^(
