In the annals of Heaven,
the plans were prearranged,
that man would fall short,
and a price would be paid.
The covenant was laid out,
and the prophecies foretold,
that a perfect lamb would come forth,
from out of David's fold.
The first shedding of this lamb's blood
happened on eighth day,
with the ritual of circumcision,
in keeping with the promise Abraham made.
He grew to be a carpenter,
and learned the promises of The Word,
coming to the realization,
He was the King foretold.
In the Garden of Gethsemane,
His blood landed on the ground,
to break the curse of Adam
of toil by the sweat of our brow.
He prayed that God would take the cup,
of bitterness He had,
to not withstand the whipping post,
or agony from roman soldiers hands.
the third place was on the whipping post,
as they ripped the flesh from bone.
The torture of which none of us,
will ever truly know.
The stripes from bones and metal He withstood,
freed us from all disease,
were you aware that all sickness known to man,
is covered by the 39 lashes He received?
The next shedding came when they made
Him wear the ring of thorns,
the thorns were promised to Adam for his sin,
have now become our crowns.
4 inch nails were used,
to hold his arms to the tree,
so in our work Satan cannot curse us,
from those attacks that blood set us free.
one 12 inch nail went thru his feet,
and were placed upon a shelf,
This blood covers the sins we have done,
as we have walked the land.
As it dripped from His beaten body,
to the hill where a skull was found.
Were you aware that David brought the head of Goliath there?
That anyone who sinned against God was stoned upon that hill?
And yet His blood flowed freely to cover that hallowed ground.
so no more we could be held captive,
by the curse of sin in which Satan had us bound.
the final drops came from his side,
to prove that he was gone.
To keep from the breaking of his legs,
that others had endured before.
But in the taking of that blood,
He covered the woman as well.
to open the Holy of Holies to us,
allowing us to step behind the veil.
For woman was born of Adam's rib,
So we were considered beneath,
but by that blood we were sanctified,
to talk and sing and preach.
they broke not his legs because God knew,
He once again would walk,
to tell his followers His job was complete,
in victory we walk.
so now you know the truth of the story,
and how our freedom was gained.
From 7 different places,
but from the son of God
and Jesus is his name.
