 It seems like it were only yesterday

 When you held me in your arms,

 Free from any pain, safe from any Harm.

  When I was young you were hard on me,

   and at times a little rough,

  But now I realize you did it to make me stronger

  for the times when things get tough..

   You took my hand and walked me down the aisle,

   though you were giving me away,

  you did it with a smile.

   The lessons you taught me ,

   made me what I am today,

   filled with pride,and feeling strong,

   you showed me how to have confidence

   when I'm right, and the courage to admit

  when I am wrong.

    So I come here to say thank you

   for all your lessons, and all your love,

   and I know whenever I need your guidance,

  I need only to look to Heaven above.
