THANKS INGE FOR THE POEM "Child Abuse Child abuse that we read so much about We need to take a stand and shout Instead of just feeling just compassion For the victim we need to take action When you hear noises next door constantly From a neighbors house even when you don't see Something might be happening to some kid Who is probably being hurt and constantly hit When you see bruises on this child everyday Don't turn your back and just walk away Saying this is none of my business our of fear To get involved in something that is so near A child of a neighbor you see change day by day Walking in raggedy clothes and dirty to your dismay Feeling sorry won't cut it anymore just call As a witness to this abuse you hear through your wall Please don't let this child go through more of this For people to stand up for a child is my wish Whether she or he is not close to you This is what we all need to do Take action and be that child's voice He or she being unheard have no choice To stand up against these parents who abuse Please make that call what do you have to lose? Nothing at all but take a stand for him or her So this abuse will stop and not occur We need to step in whether we like it or not Those children to them we are all they've got You see abuse going on day by day Please do your moral duty and say Enough I am going to make that call I am sick of hearing abuse through my wall We all need to do something and stand strong Child abuse of any kind is against the law and wrong Let's help these children who are in this web of abuse Like I said before what do we have to lose?
