Complete InSANity!
So anyone who has been following my blog, and who hasn't because I'm so damned popular!, should know the basic story of my impending promotion to GM of the store I work at...
Well the change happened this morning, quite abruptly. To point it to a point, I'm still not sure it was real. Let's set the mood for this corporate fiasco shall we...
A store our size with 300+ customers in our base pool should have the following:
1 GM @ 55HRS per Week
1 SM @ 45HRS per Week
1 CAM @ 45HRS per Week
1 CSR @ 40HRS per Week
2 PT'S @ 40HRS per Week
For the last month our SM (Sales Manger) has been out on medical leave and I have been filling in (I was formerly the CAM - Customer Accounts Manager). One of our PT's (Product Technicians) had taked my place as CAM.
Of course this juggling of positions left us 1 PT short and with a CAM who had NO EXPERIENCE. This past Saturday our only remaining PT did not show up for work or call in (He had already put in his two week's notice as it was). This morning we officially hired a PT to replace the first PT who was promoted to CAM in my absence.
Now here's the REALLY FUNNY PART!...
Our new PT shows up at 9:00am, our existing GM shows up at 9:10am. The phone rings at 9:25am and our GM answers the phone (It was our RM -Regional Manager) Now the chaos begins...
The RM told our GM to pack up and head to another store immediately as he had been transfered. 15 Minutes later he was gone and I had been promoted to GM (Leaving NO Sales Manager) At noon our AWOL PT calls and I fire him for being a "No Call- No Show" on Saturday. At 3pm our RM calls and tells me to fire the NEW PT because his background check came back with multiple felonies.
Now we have...
