Belief is the acceptance of a proposition without proof. It is an assertion of reality without regards to the manifestations of reality.
Belief is an expression of what we wish reality to be. It has no bearing on what reality is, and does not affect what reality is.
What we believe, what we wish were true, has no bearing on what is true. Belief does not alter reality. It does not change what is.
