If his wife Hillary Rodham Clinton wins the presidency, former President Clinton says he would have no problem taking on the traditional duties of a first lady — even if it's overseeing Christmas decor and Easter egg hunts at the White House.
"You know, I'd actually like doing that," Clinton told ABC's Barbara Walters in an interview scheduled to air Thursday night. "If I'm asked to do that, I would love to do that."
And don't worry about calling him "first gentleman."
"I really don't care what I'm called," Clinton said. "I got to be president for eight years. People can call me whatever they want."
If Mrs. Clinton is elected, Clinton said he would only attend cabinet meetings if she asked him.
"And I think it would only be wise if it were on a specific issue," he said. "I think it's better for me to give her my advice privately most of the time."
Former President Clinton is among Walters' "10 Most Fascinating People of 2007."
