What are you waiting for?
After getting asked what it meant, i've told some people that it's simply the most badass way to celebrate being a 5 Time World Patty-Cake Champion (it's like that Stallone movie where he arm wrestles...but with a lot less grunting). Other people i've told that it was all a really elaborate way to be able to put 3 fingers together to spell "TIP" (as in "Just the..."). *Actually* it's a reference to one of my favorite books, 'House of Leaves' by Mark Z. Danielewski. There is a particular quote that jumped out at me years ago and is a bit of a cornerstone of why i do what i do:
"Passion has little to do with euphoria and everything to do with patience. It is not about feeling good. It is about endurance. Like patience, passion comes from the same Latin root: pati. It does not mean to flow with exuberance. It means to suffer."
For those of you who have been wanting ink...there's absolutely no one better to go to than Nicole (wow, i sound like a car commercial . . . come to think of it, i AM wearing a comically oversized cowboy hat at the moment). And no, i'm not just saying that because she's my sister...i'm saying that because she hurts me when you're not looking...kidding...She's an absolutely AMAZING artist with a light touch, she has a big screen TV and a massive DVD collection for you to watch while you're getting worked on (we typically just watch "Die You Zombie Bastards" or "Secretary" or anything John Waters for the hundredth time), and she's pretty much a bedazzled amazon warrior chick [who may or may not have a poster of David Hasselhoff thats used strictly for torture]. Aaaaannnnnddddd you'll most likely hear various embarrassing stories about me since i can't perform the act of murder from 3,000 miles away.

2 bits of news here...
1. NEW SONG! . . . Still making some minor tweaks and you guys will have it VERY soon. i had originally started writing another song, got partway through it [did some vocals, guitars, huge beats, tweaked out synths, sacrificed virgins and played Carpenters LP's backwards (it helps the creative process)]...and after all that, the demo for a *different* song just kept jumping up and wanting to be spat out. So the NEW song is called "Scrape" and is very different from Kill Me Every Time. ...Much noisier.

i think i mentioned before that in the interim after Kill Me Every Time, i wrote a bunch of tracks for film and TV. These aren't really artistically representative of me...more about seeing what happens when they lock me in a room with recording equipment, energy drinks and shout "Random styles!...GO!" So you've got everything from dance-punk/nu-rave to full on electro rock assualt to bouncy, funky little numbers, to trip hop and a few things in between (sorry, no industrial polka...this time). After Scrape is released and you guys are (hopefully) digging it...you'll be able to snag pieces of completely schizophrenic music from me.

Someone sent me this pic a while ago that i love.
Apparently some people took it to heart when i suggested listening to Kill Me Every Time while driving at 2am. On that tip, i truly appreciate everyone who writes in, leaves comments, etc. i may not have the time to write back to everyone right away, but i dig hearing from you. Alright, i'm getting all mushy now...time to go make some noise.
