well on friday around 3am we went to leave for Eureka for an AFI concert. The concert was fantastic..the band totally rocks. We were in the moshpit in the very front so we got a fantasic view of the band as they played and got a bit squished in the process..it rocked.
The only part that didn't rock is we decided to head back to sacramento that night after the concert. We went through the mountains and redwoods and so on and so forth and got about 2 hours away from sacramento.
I was exhuasted and couldn't keep my eyes open so I fell asleep even though I should of stayed awake...next thing I knew I woke up to the sound of my friend screaming and as my eyes opened the truck we were in started rolling. We both screamed so loud...blood curdling screams. Finally when the truck stopped my friend was still screaming and sobbing and I reached out to place my hand on the dashboard and pulled my hand back and noticed blood.
I thought it was my friend's blood so I freaked out and started yelling "are you bleeding? are you ok? " over and over and she said she wasn't so I placed my hand to my own head and pulling it back..my hand was covered in my own blood. I totally freaked out. I ended up kicking the windshield of the car that was already shattered out the rest of the way and climbed out and collapsed.
Everything became a blur after that all I remember most is my friend screaming and crying. The paramedics had to cut the top of the truck off to get her out and rushed her by air to a hospital and me to another by abulence.
We were told we were damn lucky to be alive...that with how bad that truck was we should of been dead. I had a concussion and several cuts from glass on my head and bruised from head to toe pretty much and she ended up with cuts on her face and brusied from head to toe pretty much. Also I have a neck brace on to help support my neck which is extremely sore. The things that hurt most on me right now are my head, my neck, and my upper back.
I stand up I get dizzy, I sit I get dizzy...basically as long as I stay still I am good. I had never been more scared in my life. My friend screaming that is going to be in my head for a very long time..her screaming and sobbing. ::frowns::
I thank god she is ok..that we are both ok, but I could not live without her. She has been my best friend since junior high and we have been through some really tough times together. She is my best friend and is like a sister to me. I love her dearly and could not stand the idea of life without her. ::frown::
Now I think I need to lay down. I have been sitting up WAY too long. it's time to go pass out on pain meds. I'll blog more later when I feel a little more with it.
