I woke up today in an inescapable haze
where had I just come from?
Some impossible dream where I was in love
There she was
in that impossible alabaster
the soft curving harmony of her body
with those poison ruby lips.
I can't live another minute without touching
without kissing
without possessing
I can't face another faceless day.
The opiate smoke of her words still in my imagination.
The spiraling incapacity of her pleasure.
It all couldn't have been dreamt
the knicks, the aches
they're too real.
The dryness in my bones is too real.
A thousand wells in a desert,
and I'd walk through another just to reach her.
Just to be a minute flare of her supernova.
A glimpse of her perfection...
a drop of her on my lips could sustain me another millenia.
Touch me
love me
curse me
maim me
but please
do not deny me...
To ignore me is to destroy me
down to the last speck
the very last atom.
To turn your goddess shoulder away
would erase me.
Nameless, never-known
in a blank
dark
infinity.
Would you take pity on this man
and perhaps
grant him this night
above any other
a chance at your divinity...
a passing flicker of your smile...
a whisper of your passion on a fair wind?
