I look all around me
At the black of night
Sadly I feel comforted
By the lack of light
I hide amongst the shadows
Where I feel at peace
My eyes gaze around me
At the fools passing on the street
My hand touches my knife
But I do not move
I can already hear the beat of their hearts
The beating growing slower
My imagination takes hold of me
I can see the rivers of blood
The wonderful sight
I now begin to fear
I fear my own mind
My own desires
The desire for revenge
The desire to give pain
However much I wish to hurt
I also wish to cause that same sensation
Their screams would be a melody
Sweet chiming in my ears
Thankfully I stop
I stop and close my eyes
Move my hand away
What scares me the most
Is the lack of regret for what I nearly had done
However before I can leave
The darkness falls around me
And the sweet melody rings
Through the black of night
