What is a fubar train?
A fubar train is usually listed in your bulletins and in the host/hostesses blog. It is a list of people that have fanned, rated and added each other as a friends.
Why join a fubar train? Joining a train will give you points from fanning rating and adding friends. It will also introduce you to a bunch of new friends along the way. You will also receive points for comments that go back and forth between the trains.
How do I join a fubar train?
First you pick one from the list here or a bulletin you have seen posted. Read the instructions each train is different. Example why one you may have to rate a folder of pictures to join, a different train you may not have to rate anything but the members. Next make sure you rate fan and add every person on the list. If you already have them added as a friend you leave them a profile comment telling them something about the train your joining. Note leave a profile comment not a message on their pictures not a private message but a profile comment!!!! After you have finished everyone make sure you send a message to the host/hostess and let them know you have finished and would like to join. Last but not least when someone new joins send them a comment back to welcome them and make sure you rate and fan them as well. Also you can repost the bulletins for the host/hostess when you see them to help bring new members to join. Remember every time someone else joins a train it's more points for everyone.
What are train tags?
Train tags are something that some hosts/hostess include when you join their train. Please note these are optional and not included in joining all trains. The tag usually goes with the train your joining and also has your nickname on it.
Where do I find a Train Tag I was supposed to get for joining a train?
Check the Train Tag Depot page here on my blog it's updated daily. If not in the main list check the comments under I add them there in between updating the main list.
A few more tips: If you like the tags and would like to make your own get a free account at photobucket to start. Also imikimi is also a great free site to use to make your own tags and comments. For more points add a folder to your pictures marked Fubar Tags that way others can rate them as well. When you get a tag from a train right click and save it to your computer instead of ripping it. Ripped photos get no points when rated.
When joining the train it's easy to get the bouncer by pasting the same thing over and over again, try putting a different number behind or in front of your paste should help you to get the bouncer less :)
When joining more then one train please note you leave one comment per train not 2-3 comments in one this is cheating all of the trains members and not considered fair.
One more tip joining a lot of trains will give you a lot of comments to reply to and you will only get the last 25 that were sent to you. You can change it so that you have to approve each one first so you can for one receive them all and for 2 you have time to reply to them. To do this go to edit your profile, then to your privacy settings. At the top set approve comments to yes. Save it and your ready to go :)
