The Army relaxed their tattoo policy to allow back of the head tattoo, and big sleeve tattoos, the navy allows only certain size tattoos, the Air Force, has a little more restrictive policy, but The USMC?
Effective April 1, Marines are prohibited from getting sleeve tattoos,” said Capt. Stephen T. Fowler, military policy analyst, Manpower Plans and Policy Division, Manpower and Reserve Affairs, Headquarters Marine Corps. “Those individuals who have sleeve tattoos are required to be documented by their command by July 1.”
When I got my tattoo in Hong Kong, in 1986, mostly criminals, and sailors, had tattoos. I have over the years, been told, oh ick, and cool. Now days, more and more people get tattoos.
So what do they do in the armed forces... make it more restrictive. Go figure.
I am glad they are worried about the big picture :p
