Last night I awoke from a dream,
Thinking there was someone in my room.
I know the noises in the house most likely it was the boiler,
But I woke in a sweat, heart beat out of my chest.
I asked if it was you, I reached out to a figure,
It was just my imagination.
I flicked the lights on and realized it was just a dream,
It was so haunting, scary in a way.
Hair of a lions mane, pale skin and loving eyes.
Softly I smiled….
It had to be your memory.
