I was called hostile today — Wednesday, January 24, 2007
So, the person at dws said something about haveing security escort me out today. All I did was ask if she could possibly talk to us downstairs, cuz we couldn't go upstairs since we had a little girl with us. " My appointment is with AMANDA! not with you " is what she said. And asking her if she could just talk to us downstairs cuz we couldn't go upstairs somehow made her feel scare? threatened? she couldn't take the thought of going downstairs while I was in the building or something. Later on she said I was hostile and if I was like that again, then she would make it so I wasn't allowed to come in the building. Uh, she yelled at me while she was talking to me. And I'm somehow the hostile person.
Ok, so in my last blog I did talk about starting a war, but this is still insane. I hadn't yet begun to get hostile, I didn't even have the chance if I really planned on it. Hostility, as she is saying I was, is something I realize isn't productive. I don't fight my wars hostily. Anyway, I left my gf and her kid there when she talked about security. So she ended up coming downstairs and talking to her anyway. That's all I was asking her if she could do. ( before she talked about security. ) It's a complicated mess. I talked to her boss about it later. So atleast her boss got my side of the story before she got hers. It's not my case, so there's confidentialality and stuff. They can't tell me any details about stuff, wich I can understand. So all I could do was talk about the general policies and procedures. They have messed up on those, so all I was going to do was make them realize that. The individual details of the case aren't really important anyway.
Back to hostile....
Most of the people who know me, laugh whenever they hear someone describe me as hostile, or anything like it. They say stuff like, " You are the least hostile person I know. " I'm not violent. I rarely even kill bugs. I don't talk much, and I hardly ever raise my voice when I do talk. I often talk so quietly people have to ask me to speak up cuz they can't hear me. People are shocked if I am ever loud at all. 99% of the time, I appear pretty timid-like. I'm really easy-going. So it doesn't make any sense someone talking about how I was being hostile, and talking about having security escort me out.
In her defense...
Her other job is working with abused women. So she could be overly protective of my gf and thought I might influence what she said, or didn't say. It would be easy to get cynical in a job like that. It would have somewhat of an effect of makeing you think all guys are assholes and such if that is mostly what you deal with. And actually the same with working at the dws place, often with lazy people who abuse the system. Much like police often get cynical and think the whole world is just full of criminals, since that's most of the people they work with day in and day out.
That part accounts for the over jumpyness, and the security guard thing. There are other messed up things that have happened ther due to lack of communication. So it's still a big mess, and there are other things are totally unreasonable, and enough things ( that if only one of them had happend it wouldn't be too big of a deal ) added up to create serious problems. So basicly, something needs to happen, and somehow steps need to be taken to correct the problems and keep them from happening again. If given the chance, I would happily search out all the info, and suggest solutions for them. Although, me simply being there asking if someone can downstairs to talk to us, is being hostile. If I asked to help them solve their problems, they's probably call the cops. lol
