can be quite exasperating. A friend of mine has posted a blog about the story of his journey through this despairing journey and the journey, now, towards renewed hope. He wrote it very eloquently and I had to respond.
"Journeys are always facing us in our lives; they just take on differing faces all the time.
I love to read what you write about because you are able to express your feelings in a way that makes sense and is so identifiable with similar journeys that I have trodden upon myself.
I KNOW that you will see the light as you face a new love that will take away the depression and darkness that clouds your journey at this time. Trust me, while the new love will bring forth a light, you will be embarking upon another journey to discovering renewed trust, commitment, and love like you have never experienced before.
Journeys never really end; just take on new faces. I have told folks that I am always on a new journey, always on a quest for something new. I believe that this is what keeps our lives interesting and worth living to see what is at the next bend in our journey.
I am looking forward to my new journeys and forge ahead to see where that might be heading towards. The way I see it is that I may have lived only 47 years of my life now, but my grandparents and great grandma lived well into their late 80s and 90s, which means that I have at least another 40 years (if not 50) ahead of me to walk through.
Hopefully, the next half of my life may be not as exasperating or trying as my past last half of my life has been. I am not ready to give up that there is love and happiness in my future and I don't suspect that you are either.
Keep up your writings....
and look into that crystal ball...
and see the haze lifting...
and the glimmer of hope and happiness...
