As a survivor of domestic abuse I have supported heartily the blogs and bulletins circulating now about the subject, and hats off to those who posted them and offered their assistance. I, too, would like to offer my assistance tommye65@msn.com if you need help, need me to help you find a number to call, need to talk or be talked to. It can mean the difference between life and death. Anyone interested in this subject and those who aren't as well may enjoy reading the blog posted by We All Are One on 2-18-07 titled 'Sasha's Struggle', as it covers such a situation; while fictional is quite appropriate and inspiring. But by all means get support, get help, call on your friends and family, co workers, fellow church goers, whomever you think may help you. Please, for you, for your kids, for your family and friends but mostly for you, get help and get out. No amount of love you give them will make them change, only they can initiate that and they usually don't. It is a cycle that escalates to dangerous and fatal proportions. There are local and statewide and national hotlines and any police dept. will give you the numbers for your area.
