Can we act any stupider? I am not sure if anyone other then me caught this little tidbit and slam against our NFL stars. Miami Dolphins NFL player Channing Crowdar said he did not realize he did not need an interupretur while in London… here is that story:
THIS Sunday the Miami Dolphins will play the New York Giants in Wembley Stadium. And Dolphins’ player Channing Crowder confesses he didn’t know that people spoke English in London.”
Anorak will view this game as it views all American football matches - but popping out to get a video, or sleeping. But this is interesting. They get Beckham. We get Channing Crowder.
“I couldn’t find London on a map if they didn’t have the names of the countries,” Crowder says. “I swear to God. I don’t know what nothing is. I know Italy looks like a boot. I learned that.
“I know (Washington Redskins linebacker) London Fletcher. We did a football camp together. So I know him. That’s the closest thing I know to London. He’s black, so I’m sure he’s not from London. I’m sure that’s a coincidental name.”
Of course, the irony is that he will need a translator - people in London really all do speak like David Beckham… Oh my … can we say DUH!!! Then after they find him they can’t get him to shut up… Oh well… I think the next generation of Jokes will not be pointed towards a nationality but more so towards athletes.
It is a shame. Some of these athletes are the most intelligent people one could ever speak to…but then again you will have a Homer Simpson pop up and make them all look goofy…
May your weekend be filled with the goods from the horn of plenty… which could be plenty of what ever you are in need of I guess..LOL I will leave that little not known fact alone. Please have a safe and wonderful weekend and if you see Channing Crowder make sure he doesn’t continue to use a double negative..
A huge hug and many assorted pats
