March to DC

Not sure if most of you are like me or if anyone may read this, but I am pretty tired of the people no longer having a voice in our country. For many years now our country has been run my the highest bidder and not the people. Our Government is for sale. As the number of voters shrinks the lining of our elected offficals grows bigger. They say money is free speech, there for the more you have the louder your speech. If you have no money, or little of it to spend on politics your voice goes unheard. Yes, we have polls, but who can say they are not fixed anymore? I'll get to my point. On July 4th of this year I am going to walk from St. Louis, Mo. to Washington, DC in protest of our lack of accountablity and leadership in our countries capital. For to long I have just thought by voting I would have my say, but do I? I live in IL. and in every Presidential election I know my state will always elect a Demicrate for President, so why vote? When I get to Washington I will address my congressmen and Senators and hand deliver my Referendum of Independance to them, which I will write on my trip, for it will take me 40 day to walk there. Along the way I will talk to people and get their feedback, which I will bring to Washington. Am I crazy? Guess we will see.....
