Boots are a wardrobe staple during the fall. If you are a shoe lover, this seasons styles are likely to make you salivate with longing because of all the different choices on offer.
Thigh highs
Over the knee boots are back with a vengeance from last year, look at uggs. Many are constructed from stretch leather or suede, and feature platform, wedge or sky high stiletto heels. They are an attention grabbing style, so it is generally best to pair them with simple and elegant clothing.
Peep toe booties
The open toe bootie also continues to remain on trend. The majority of styles only extend to the ankle or lower, so they make a great trans seasonal shoe style. Lots of styles feature cut outs or perforated details.
Heavy metal decoration
Lots of boots feature ornamental metal hardware. Think large buckles, rings, studs and extra zippers. Several take their inspiration from motorcycle or combat style boots.
Clog sole boots
Wooden clog style soles are a very popular look for fall 2010. You will find both genuine wood versions, alongside faux styles that are much lighter underfoot. A lot of styles are combined with a suede upper that is connected to the clog sole with smooth studs. Boots with clog soles make great weekend styles.
Shearling trim styles
Sheepskin lined boots are no longer restricted to humble indoor UGG boots styles. You will find many perfectly presentable styles with leather or suede exteriors that are ideal for casual outings. Some of uggs feature sheepskin accents that peep out the top of the shoe, or a fold over top that reveals on inch or so of sheepskin.
Fashion forward wellingtons/rain boots
