Warren-based state police have now arrested the alleged gunman, the estranged wife of the victim and an accomplice in connection with the Dec. 5 shooting death of Shawn L. Yeager, 39,
Yeager's body was discovered on the back porch of his home by his 12- and 15-year-old sons when they came home from school last Friday.
Yeager had been shot once in the upper left torso, with the bullet exiting the right side of his chest.
Cory 28, Endeavor, first-degree murder, conspiracy to commit murder, possession of a firearm and cruelty to animals for shooting the victim's Siberian husky, "Nook."
Susan Yeager, 33, conspiracy to commit first-degree murder.
Robert 26, conspiracy to commit first-degree murder.
The affidavit said that the woman "had been making comments about wanting her husband dead."
She allegedly made "constant requests" to her brother to kill her estranged husband.
Other statements allegedly made by Susan said police, were "inquiring about how to obtain an unregistered gun" and "how she and her brother could take him (the victim) turkey hunting and her husband could become the victim of a hunting accident."
Investigators said that Altman, who had a prior conviction on an unspecified charge and was prohibited from owning a firearm, had borrowed a .30-30 long rifle from a co-worker. The rifle was returned to the Irvine resident after the shooting
Pessia then allegedly drove Altman to Shawn Yeager's residence and dropped him off, the affidavit states. Altman returned to the vehicle about an hour later and told Pessia "he had his buck for the year."
Altman allegedly told Pessia that he had encountered the victim as he returned to his home and as the victim attempted to enter the back door, Altman shot him between the shoulder blades.
