One of the things I enjoy most about running a long distance is that later, if you see a sign that says an exit is seven miles away you can think to yourself "Oh that? I could get out and run that!"
I can't remember the last time I ran seven and half miles, even in the Army I think the longest we did in formation was six miles. Sure it was three times a week, but it wasn't all at once. I think I am really going to start pushing for the half marathon 13 miles. I'm not going for speed, just distance.
He's going for distance, not going for speed. She's all alone (all alone) in her time of need.
