Puerto Rico is without power and safe water, Florida and Texas are hurting from hurricanes, New Orleans floods every time it rains, the western quarter of the country is on fire, Americans are waving Nazi flags, people in the LGBTQ community are threatened or worse for simply living their lives, our country has 50% more incarcerated people than CHINA (making the U.S. "home" to the world's largest prison population), thousands of veterans and mentally ill people are homeless, education is being crippled by cuts to funding, lack of affordable healthy nutrition and access to healthcare are likely to cause lifespans in the U.S. to shorten, and our country has elected a President who seems hell-bent on starting a pissing match with North Korea.... but by all means, let's all get our panties bunched over who chooses to exercise their first amendment right to peaceful protest. News flash: 1st amendment rights apply equally to everyone, even if you or I don't agree with them, and regardless of whether they represent the majority or minority. PRIORITIES, PEOPLE: Football isn't one of them.
