Time for another weekend update.
Well, weekend and part of last week.
Last week was probably one of the busiest I’ve had in a long time.
The highlight was probably the Lennon concert on Wed. night. That was pretty cool. Got a drumstick and had it signed. ::cheers and holds up drumstick::
Headed out on Friday for Ohio to see my mom and my aunt and have my hair done. There are pictures. I’ve got one up and I’ll get the others up later. I actually had a horrible feeling of déjà vu when I got to the airport. You see, this flight was a rebook of an earlier one from back in September. That flight was delayed and delayed and delayed to the point where if it ever did make it into Nashville I wouldn’t get to Ohio until about 1 or 2 in the morning. Not really worth going. So I rebooked. Friday night I made it to the airport…same gate as before, same original departure time and….
Delayed.
So I waited. When it got pushed back again I got up, headed across the hall to the bar and had two shots of Malibu and a coke while I waited. Went back to the gate and waited as it was delayed more.
But luckily, this flight showed up.
So I made it to Ohio. Saw my Aunt. Got my hair done with some rainbow streaks. Tried to spend the time relaxing but spent it cold mostly. Then came home on Sunday.
Sunday evening was spent painting myself green.
Very, very green.
I broke out the Orion Slave Girl costume for the first time in two years. I actually made several adjustments to it. I added a really great black wig, tried a different combination of paint methods and redid a costume. The old shiny gold one was pretty much dead and waaaaaay too small in the top. This one is still small but I like it better. Less itchy!
Didn’t win but had a good time. That was awesome.
Came home after the club and turned the shower green for a while. I still hadn’t gotten it all off when I gave up and went to bed for the night. I think I got the rest off this morning. ::grins::
And I think that bring us up to today. I’m at work……exhausted for some reason…..
I think I’d prefer to be resting in bed or on the couch. Maybe watching Charmed or anime.
But I have to run to the store and get some stuff and think about what to do for dinner. Hmmmm…..
Cool news is that Trans-Siberian Orchestra is in less than two weeks!!! ::cheers:: I cant wait.
Well, I’ve still got an hour and 15 minutes left of work. I had better find something to do to make me look busy. Love and peace, minna!
