Good morning and how’s every little thing in your world today? Mine is fine, sore, tired (not like trucks and cars) and beat (not like I just lost a golf match or something) but, all is good and this week has almost passed me by. You ever feel so tired and sore that to move your fingers is a major event? I feel like a rodeo clown after a bull got the best of him. Oh well a few more days and all will be over, oh and yes I will snap some pictures or have Jax do it. The year is coming to a close for Mandy on high School and like all seniors they did a senior prank on the water tower. A police report is out but no one is coming forward. The kids all know who did it and the authorities do also but they have to make it seem like they’re still searching for the culprits to deter any future events of this magnitude. Most classes do similar tricks, pranks of this nature but when it involves kids climbing up on the towns water tower which is so high in the air they do not want it to end in a funeral… I think back we did a teachers car… well, it was not soaped or teepee’d it was just turned over on it’s roof. It crinkled the roof and charges were issued to the senior class. I am not sure if they were ever paid. I believe one class mate’s dad was the teachers insurer so I think it went away without notice. Although no one snitched all knew it had to be the wrestlers. As we had some huge wrestlers back then and one was an Olympic Bronze medalist in the 76’ Olympics Chris Taylor. My gosh that guy was huge. His neck was bigger then I was. I mean I graduated at 6’0” and grew 4 more inches over the summer and was 6’4” by Christmas of 74. Weird I know… Here are some other senior pranks in the news, all other things will have to wait I thought these were funny enough to share with you.
PENSACOLA -- Roderick Lowd, manager of the Tobacco Depot Discount Superstore, believes the giant cigarette, which sat atop his storefront, was pilfered sometime early last week.
"We noticed it missing Wednesday morning," Lowd said Monday.
Lowd believes someone used a ladder kept in the rear of the Mobile Highway store to climb onto the roof and remove the cigarette. The cigarette, which billowed smoke from the front end, is about 2 feet in diameter, is made of sheet metal and weights about 50 pounds, he said. "I'm thinking it was some kids on spring break playing a prank," he said. Lowd said the cigarette is worth about $1,200. He reported it missing Thursday. The store owner is offering a $50 reward for information leading to its recovery. "We had a good laugh about it," he said. "I couldn't believe someone would want to steal a 10-foot cigarette. They must have been jonesin' pretty good."
GAHANNA, Ohio (AP) — Students arriving at Gahanna Lincoln High School on Monday morning were greeted by a 7-foot statue of a rosy-cheeked lad that was pilfered from a Frisch's Big Boy restaurant. The 200-pound fiberglass figure of the chubby boy in red and white suspenders was reporting missing Saturday morning from its concrete base, only to turn up on the roof of the school in the Columbus suburb, police said. Officers believe it may have been a prank by seniors, Gahanna police Lt. Jeffrey Spence said. No arrests had been made. A school maintenance crew removed the statue with a forklift and returned it to the restaurant, Spence said. The statue, valued at $7,000, was not damaged. "We're just glad to have it back," said Karen Maier, a vice president with Cincinnati-based Frisch's Restaurants Inc.
It’s too bad that the kids in Ohio and in Florida did not get together and have the Big-Boy smoking the 10’ cigarette…now that would have been a neat trick. So on this Thursday have a wonderful day in what ever you do and next time you pass by a Big-Boy restaurant you might get a little urge to laugh at what kids will think of next…
