Thought sabout my response for my dissabillity claim The good part is they partially recognized some things. So I have a 20% rating or whatever. I am going to try to appeal and get more. It's frustarting because alot of has to do with medical records and doctor vistits. Which obviously makes sense. Or atleast would in the real world. They forget to take the army rowld into consideration though. The people who aren't really hurt, sometimes go to the doctor more in the army. The mallingerers are the one's getting the profiles, and being lazy while they are in the army, and then getting disability when they get out. They have lots of medical records to " prove " their disabilities. There are people who don't go to the doctore when they are sick. They " tough it out. " This is what the army mentality basicly induces. People get harrassed for going to the doctor, especially when they get a profile, even if they are really legitmatly sick, or hurt. ( They are harrased becuase of the mallingerers. People who fake being sick or hurt or whatever. ) Anyway, this causes people who really do have problems not to go to the doctor, or sometimes even let people know about them. They don't want to be looked at lilke the other scumsuckers who fake shit. When they get out, and they have problems, maybe partially due to the discouragement from getting them fixed while they are in the army, they don't have any medicla evidence showing they have these problems. " If you didn't go to the doctor for it, how do we know it's really there? " You know it's there because I'm not the fucking boy who cried wolf!!!!! You know it's there, and has to be bad, because I haven't complained about it much until now. It's finally bad enough to where it affects me somewhat seriously. It's finally bad enough to where I basically have to.!!! My lack of reporting stuff should give some credibility to my complaints. My record has shown I don't complain about and exagerate every little thing. If iit's a problem, then you would have obviously went and done something about it, right? And since how you haven't, it's obviously not that big of a problem, if it was then your attempts of haveing it treated would be your proof that it was a problem. Let's say you are afraid of snakes. The snake fear specialist is located just past that snake den over there. To get over your fear of snakes, you have to encounter them, and spend time with them, and eventually realize that they aren't anything to be afraid of, or to be anxious about. So why haven't you done anything about this great fear of snakes? All you have to do is walk right through that snake den to get to the guy to talk to that can help you? Now, imagine that after you cross this snake pit, den, layer, whateer you want to call it, the person you have to talk to is actually a snake!!! Why can't you just talk to the snake and let it help you solve your problems with snakes????? If you rally had a problem, then you would walk throught the den, and talk to the snake. Since how you haven't, you must not really have that big of a problem... That's kinda the way the army, or va, or whoever views the social anxiety and depression thing. If I was really that anxious around people, and so depressed that I rarely left my room then - I would leave my room, go to an unfamiliar place, and talk to a PERSON I don't know. And I would have done it more than I have. So since I haven't bothered to go out and be around people and talk to them much, I don't really have that big of a problem that prevents me from doing so. Does that make any sense? It must not have been that big of a problem, because it's taken a year for me to try and do anything about it. Well, considering the problem I had, it seems proof of the severity of it!!!! Not the other way around. It seems like if I had all sorts of visits to all sorts of unfamiliar places and people about my problem with goiing to then it would seem to contradict what I'm trying to say. There's other people who have worse problems than me. And ther problems prevent them from getting some kind of " treatment " or whatever for them. But then people say that they can't be that bad because of the lack of seeking treatment for them. Basically my condition can't be that bad, because I haven't ( until recently ) gone to unfamiliar places, and talked to unfamilliar people to do something about it. I have to somewhat get over my problem inorder to get help with getting over my problem. Oh, and I'm in school now. about a year after I got out of the army. " since how you are in school, it can't be that bad either. " - uh, School is a little weird, but it's somewhat of a familiar envirement. I was in school for about 12 years before I joined the army. It doesn't take much direct interaction with people either. It only proves that after a whole year, and can partly manage some of the anxiety aspect for a few hrs a day!!!! It says even less about the depression aspect of it. So whatever. This isn't meant to be a " poor me " thing. Its just me writing out my thoughts prepareing to prepare an appeal thing. I figured I might as well share them with you. There's people out there worse off than me who can't, or arn't getting treatment for their conditions, BECAUSE OF THEIR CONDITIONS. Them not getting treatment for their conditions, is proof to the people who might help pay for the treatment that they don't really have them. Your leg isn't broken, if it was, you'd walk to the hospital to get it fixed.......
