I've ust heard about this place and thought I'd check it out. I'm a bit bumfuzzled because I'm not on my own computer and have had to search my other web profiles and web pages to get pictures and the computer I'm using didn't want to co-operate. Its been years since I've used a Mac and find myself wishing I'd stayed in practice.
To give you a bit of information on myself I'm an American who calls Scotland home. At the moment I'm in Illinois because of some visa issues (you can check out my blogs about all that on MySpace http://blog.myspace.com/gaeliggoddess). It's an opportunity for me to spend some time with my kids and catch up with all my friends and family back here in the midwest.
I'm an aspiring writer. Others have called me writer, but I don't know that I'm satisfied that I am yet. I write poetry, free prose, essays and the occasional short story. I've been working on a couple of books for awhile. One of them I continually shy away from because its emotionally trying. The other I work on as I recall stories from my childhood. All those funny stories the women would tell sitting around their kitchen tables while having coffee and making mountains of food for the family. Slowly but surely it will be written, and my children will appreciate it even if the rest of the world doesn't.
I'm engaged to a fantastic man. He's a bit older than myself, which causes heads to turn from time to time, but we're head over heels and happy enough to be that way. He's a mad Scotsman, and so is the reason for my relocation to the lovely land of the thistle. We live in the Kingdom of Fife and our home looks out on the Forth. Its a glorious site when the sun comes up in the morning.
I've got many friends on MySpace and hope to have many here. I started out as an AOL junkie about 10 years ago. Way back in the olden days when version 3.0 was considered peak technology. I was a regular in the same chatroom for seven years and met many wonderful people. Some of them in person. A couple of those people have made lasting impressions on my life and one of them has stolen my heart. LC seems very different from other sites I've been a part of. I hope I find a niche here and get to meet more amazing people. Maybe I'll even get back on a Windows Machine and get proper photos uploded!
