The Kid without a Name

I see you all around,
We even talk sometimes,
But I don’t even know your name.
You are the kid without a name.
I talk about you all the time,
And you’re even in my dreams,
Sometimes we even play games,
But you are still the kid without a name.
When we were young,
We lived next door,
And we were the best of friends,
But even then you were the kid without a name.
Every night I pray for you.
Hoping soon I will know your name,
And everyday my pray goes unanswered,
Because you are the kid without a name.
Now were getting older,
And sometimes we still talk,
I still wish I knew your name
So you wouldn’t be the kid without a name.
Now were very old,
And can barely talk,
Let alone walk around,
And even now you are the kid without a face.
Last night I heard that you had died,
I felt so bad because I didn’t know your name,
I cried as I realized how much I love you,
The kid without a name.
You were my world,
And I never got to know who you really were,
I guess I’ll go on not knowing,
And to each other we will always be the kids without a name.
