What are you waiting for?
Such a perfect place in the universe to be,
Mind boggling wonders for us all to see.
Life that's so precious it just can't exist,
Yet the plan is set, and on it persists.
Everything bountiful, supporting a chain,
One feeds another like flowers in the rain.
What one creature takes, another puts back,
A recipe perfect, a system so exact.
The humans engage in this faithful art too,
Until such a time that prophecy came true.
We humans got greedy, such selfish souls,
And not look beyond what our pockets can hold.
We take from the earth her minerals and fuel,
but put in it's place trash and foul stew.
So easy it is to throw something away,
Than to wash and then store it for another day.
Walk down the street to get groceries and such,
and see nature watch you and thank you so much.
But we are a modern creature, yes indeed so,
We'll jump in our car and away we will go.
I fear when we see that true damage is fact,
Not a thing we do could ever turn it back.
There'll be no birds chirping or up in the sky,
Only baron ground that's beginning to fry.
The food chain that ceases to renew and grow,
Leaving the Humans to starve oh so slow.
Disease and famine will be the big names around,
Meds that we no longer can yield from our ground.
Till stresses and temper uncontrollably flare,
And we destroy ourselves and all else that's there.
