I sit at the ocean's edge
lapping waves are the sounds I hear
soothing away the events of the day
and to dry the painful tear.
I feel the cool moist salt air
blowing upon my face
A calm enters my very being
as this time I embrace.
I pull a blanket around me
to break the chill of the fallen sun
watching the moon beams dance
upon the waves for this audiance of one
There is nothing to intrude
upon this moment I hold so dear
my whole life lies before me
and my choices are oh so clear.
In this life we travel
there a many roads to choose
If it is done with a pure heart and
honesty we surely can not lose.
My life I wish to share and
to have this heart dance
with one who is kind and true
to embrace my sounds of silence
