These walls that enclose me, severing my soul.
Depriving my family...They don't even know!
These walls have no feelings. They're concrete & steel;
They punish,; They take everything that is real
These walls do not care, nor do they brood.
Living off humans , as if we were food.
They capture our memories & keep them inside;
Not worried 'bout loved ones, who languish outside.
These walls that are built to enclose us & hide;
can't steal my feelings, & boy have they tried.
