My friend Lizzie passed peacefully this weekend surrounded by her family and pets. She was able to choose her leaving in a way that honored herself and all of those around her. I am told she left us with a smile on her face.
Sometimes we meet people that take our lives, turn them around and show us that we are greater than we ever would believe. Lizzie did this for me. She not only showed me my worth, she turned me upside down and shook me for every little bit of pocket change that I didn’t know I had.
If I could be so bold as to ask you to call, write or email one (or many) of your friends and tell them how much they mean to you, it would mean a lot to me. For me Lizzie's greatest message was always that we need to value ourselves and each other. Once we have that baseline of self-worth and respect we can work to create a better world.
Have a good day my dear friends
