Time passes so slowly
while I stand here waiting
The people passing
no one stopping
I would love to be asked
can you please get me this
I'd jump at the chance
instead of writing this bit
The time draws near
to my half way point
I only want to sit and eat
Talk to the people
at the table with me
I stand here and write
as the words tumble out
and wait for the clock
to move to the right
