I know. I haven't been on much in quite some time. Part of it is I am just not as interested in staying logged into CT. Not sure why. My livejournal seems to have more of my interest lately.
Other than that I did manage to get a semi-promotion at work. I'm now doing marketing instead of customer service though if someone is out I'm happy to fill in. (or so I say) It's a bit less stressful and with any luck I'll be able to save enough to start online classes this fall and get the degree I crave so much. (criminal justice)
There was a death in the family two weeks ago. I lost my nephew. He died in the womb about 1 month shy of being born. My cousin had him cremated. I just want to say that one of the saddest experiences of my life will have been holding my second nephew for the first time in a small ceramic container that fit in one hand.
My cousin's other son, Aaden calls me Aunt Ju-ju and I can't help but spoil him. I even bought him a wooden sword (he's 2) when I was at faire.
Last week was when I started marketing. I've been training the new girl which is going well. I doubt she'll stay though. Would you stay at a workplace if on the third day of your job your supervisor was carried away in an ambulance thanks to heart palpataions from stress?
That happened on Friday afternoon. That now makes 3 of us who have eneded up in the ER for heart problems due to stress.
So I was in charge on Friday since the boss and his wife left. The main problem was that the computer guy who came to fix things made them worse. I had to fix my own email, the main email comptuer was down completely and we basically got backed up that day.
Renaissance Faire has started here in TN. I splurged and bought a season pass. Turns out I know most of the cast and performers. Hell, I shoudl have just worked the faire this year. Most people seem to think I do anyway. Axel the Sot (scott) has some great new naughty material in his show and Carl and the Empty Hats are wonderful as always.
So I spent the weekend there. My legs and feet ache but I'll be doing it again next weekend. And the weekend after that. And then the last weekend.
Yesterday started out busy. I had to cover for my supervisor and we had to play catch up from Friday. The boss' wife came in against our wishes. By midday we were caught up and doign well. Just in time for our phone and fax lines to go dead.
Then we nearly had a revolt in the front office thanks to the boss' wife and some snide remarks from the accounting person. Nickey walked out right then. I sent the new girl on home not logn after since there wasn't anythign to do. I sat there simply because I need the money on my paycheck.
And I think that's about it that's happened recently.
I'll see if I can dig up a picture of my nephew to post on here. Maybe later I can have one taken of him and me. *laughs*
