Where Are You Tonight

I stand on the porch

Looking toward the sky

Knowing you're out there

Somewhere in the night

I wonder who you are

And what your name is

Then I close my eyes

And dream of our first kiss

Where are you tonight

Are you thinking of me

Wishing upon a star

For the day we meet

Will there come a day

When your eyes meet mine

And I no longer ask

Where are you tonight

I try to imagine

The color of your hair

Or how you might look 

In the cool night air

Will we ever meet

Or will you just pass by

God I just wonder

Where are you tonight

And then I wonder

If you're doing the same

Standing and wishing

For your soulmate

And I kneel to pray

That you're not a dream

That one day soon

God will send you to me
