Whydo people feel the need to lie to people. I guess things are not always as they seem. I guess I should not be surprised at people lying to me. And especially on here. They say one thing and totally mean something else. Is it so bad you look for love and companionship and people have to take advantage of that.Well another week is done and gone. Got the cleaning, laundry and the ironing done. Yes ladies I do iron LOL Thanks to my Mother I learned all of those things and do like to have my dress clothes for work to be ironed with creases. Well the Emergency Operations Center at work asked around if we had pictures of our deployment which I did some of us do take pictures others do not. So I sent them a few and they had one that I forgot was taken. So I will put it in my pictures after I resize it. It was of me doing something I had never done before and that was stand up in front of a lot of people teaching them about the Blue Roof Program. Whew I got over that fast no time to get the nerves LOL we were on the Corps barge at Baton Rouge, Louisiana right after Hurricane Katrina had hit the gulf coast. I did a few new things before and some of the things I ran into I put in an earlier blog. I guess the District Commander wanted some to look at before the next town hall meeting we will have. When I dont know. It will feel funny to see me up on the wall while he is talking. That is if they use it. But it is nice to know that you are recognize for things you do. I enjoy my disaster work when I go. It was nice that last year was quiet maybe this year will be quiet to so folks can finish getting back to normal. It in better still when the people you are helping come up to you to thank you for being there that in itself means more then anything. Well hope all is well for everyone. I guess I'm at a time in my life and career would like to share it with someone. I guess that I didnt realize that it was so hard to find someone. Age for me in itself is not an issue like it is for some. I feel it is up to the people involved. Well later peeps have a good weekend.
