The Closing Of Rejects In The Rafters
Ok I am going to clarify a few things here about why Rejects closed. For starters, I want to say thank you to the ones that really helped me out. For those of you that dont know I was activated back to active duty here recently and have just got word I will be leaving this Friday....Like 2 days from now. I knew it was coming just didnt know when. I dont know how long I will be gone this time as last time it was only a couple of months but this one may be a bit longer. I'm not sure to post this or not, just wanted to let all my friends know that I talk to on a daily basis or see me around anyway...I was feeling a bit ill yesterday had a bit of a sore throat & stuffy nose, no biggie, figured it was just my allergies, well around 3pm I got up from a nap & felt as if a freakin freight train had run right into my body! Of course I went downhill from there, spiked a 104 almost 105 temp, had 2 asthma attacks from coughing so hard & so much & my throat felt like sandpaper lol...not to mention my body was just aching & I fell over twice cuz my legs were like jello lol! So anyway I went to the ER last night & of course wouldn't you know it I have the flu, broncitis AND a sinus infection...yea I cant get just one...gotta shake it up LOL! The Dr told me had I waited until today to go in I would have probably had full blown pneumonia. One of my very good friends was killed last night while doing what he loved most, riding his new Harley. He bought the bike a couple months ago after riding a Honda Goldwing for years. He was soo absolutely proud of his new "baby"! Someone driving a pickup truck decided to turn right in front of him. Mitch didn't stand a chance. I have seen this time and time again when out riding or just driving down the road. We were almost killed a few weeks ago by the same thing. A stupid f'n beyotch pulled right out in front of us. We had to lock up the rear tire which caused us to slide sideways. Thank god we were able to get out of it without going down. Mitch will be sorely missed by many many people. He was a great guy who would do anything for anybody. He loved God and his family. Please please please SHARE THE ROAD! I will miss you Mitch but I know that someday, I WILL see you again my friend! The Passing Of A Wonderful Man
As most of you know my grandfather passed away Oct 15 this year. It has taken me this long to really be able to write about it. As most of you know he had been in the hospital since May. He went in the day I got out of the hospital for my own surgery. On Oct 15 I was sitting here at home like always. My sister called me at around 11 am. I knew something was wrong by the fact that she is a teacher and was calling me at such a early time. Grandfather had been struck by a infection that quickly took its toll on him. With having been in the hospital so long infections were gonna happen and had. This one however had taken into his lungs and the docs needed us at the hospital. My sis, mother and I made the trip and once we got there sis and I were taken into a room to conference with his docs. We realized the end had come and it was time to not be selfish on our part but to let him go into Gods hands. We gave the docs our decision and we only asked he be in no pain. Today is my sister's 40th Birthday. :D She is 1 year & 3 days older than me, but because I was a bit taller and louder, while she was shy and stayed out of trouble, many people assumed I was the older one. I went in the Army and was having such a good time in Germany, that she thought maybe it would be a good idea for her too. Neck Tattoos - Too Hard To Cover?
I like neck tats - like back of the neck with a chinese character or something like that. All my tats are easily coverable and I like it that way because I work in a professional environmental and plan to continue to do so. Right now I have shorter hair so I can't put it up in a ponytail. I've been thinking about getting a back of the neck tat but if I grow my hair long again I'll want to put it up sometimes. I was just wondering that it seems like when another country has a disaster the US government is there the next day. Why then when there is a disaster here it takes a week? It took a week in New Orleans and it has taken a week here in western Kentucky where the county I live in has no power except generators, many fellow Kentuckians have a well due to no available water and as we all know wells require power. We can drive to town but are limited to 5 gallons, try going all day with only 5 gallons of water. We were told that we will not have electricity for at least a few weeks. Well, we all went up to St. Louis today to see my Grandma at Barnes. She's not doing so great. She's in renal failure, is fighting a bad infection, can't talk, on a ventilator, dialysis. . . and they're taking her off life support on Tuesday. So it's only a matter of time. . . I don't know how to deal with this. . .I don't know if I can handle another death in my life. This f'ing sucks. And my little girl will never get to know her great Grandma. . .never remember how sweet and giving and loving she was. And then I get get home from seeing my grandmother lying in a hospital bed with 10 tubes coming out of her, looking like a bag of bones, not even able to move or talk, and you know what Josh does? So, yesterday I was driving to work, and as I passed McDonald's I noticed someone walking toward me on the sidewalk. He wore a horizontally striped shirt with very wide stripes (of random different sizes), in multiple colors, and it came down to crotch level. When I was a lot younger, I moved to Aizona with a friend. We made the long haul one night. I stayed there at his place and worked with him at the factory where he worked for a while.
