There is a discussion that I mostly try to stay out of, but seems to keep finding me. Maybe it is because of my combination of theological and scientific training. Just how old is the universe? Those of the scientific persuasion say 4.5 billion years, give or take a billion. Those of the religious persuasion say 6,000 years, give or take a hundred. Crazy Time Of Year!
I know I haven't been around much lately. But as u all know Chrissy with kids can be kinda crazy! My Christmas Day was a treat, kids thoroughly enjoyed themselves, and got way too spoilt as per usual lol. Boxing Day started out nice, with my Grandparents visiting for a quiet get together with my Dad whilst he is here visiting from over east. Then at about 4pm it all went south..... We were evacuated due to a really big bushfire that was buring uncontained towards my house. With an ailing Grandfather we got out fast.... Scared the shit outta me! And the kids.... After driving around until 11pm we realised we weren't going to be let back into our homes, so we went and camped out at Mum's. Me the three kids and the dog. Exhaustion
Regardless of this upper-respritory illness, I try to please my better half untill...of course...I fall asleep between her legs. Bummer. So much for an evening of unbridled sexual passion. So I'm considering the possibility my doctor is right. Plenty of liquids, treat the symptoms with T-4 and Motrin, and get lots of rest. Yak! Body Image
for the last few years I didn't have a real good imagie of myself as far as my body and personality was. I just got out of a divorce which was mentally abusive...how i've learned time will heal and a person can grow. I've lost 40lbs since last July and i'm pretty happy about that...while there are areas that i need to work on there's other parts where i'm glad they are how they are now. I love my chest even as i have lost weight it's still there...i also like my butt...i'm curvier now but not blobby as much...now i just want to tighten things up. Childhood And Unfullfilled Aspirations.
I've been inspired to tell a bit of a story. We're going to chat a bit about my childhood. Yes, even I was a child once. Hard to believe...but true. My parents met shortly after my father's return from Vietnam. At the time, they were both dating other people and would double date as friends. When those relationships ended, they shared a brief romance. But they were an unlikely pair. My father was a staunch military man. Raised on a North Carolina farm in a devoutly religious family, he had gained a fairly strict moral compass, but growing up in a family of 9 children who were mainly used as farmhands and then escaping into the army directly out of high school also made him cold and hard. Emotions were a bit of a gray area for him. He didn't quite know how to express them. He'd been married once, before shipping out to Vietnam, and had a daughter that he wasn't allowed to see. No More Of My Money Will Be Spent At Best Buy...
OK so I got home this morning after working almost 16 hours to find out my lap top was not working..Of course my 14 year old son was the last person to use it...So naturally I am thinking he downloaded something or went to some porn site or something lol. So I stay up until BEST BUY opens and take my laptop in to see the GEEK SQUAD....NEVER AGAIN. First of all the little pipsqueak was rude. And then they told me it would take a week and a half to two weeks to get it fixed and back to me. Well, screw that. I took it to the local computer company Maverick Computers. They not only diagnosed what was wrong (my hard drive was dead and had to be replaced) but as you can see I am online which means they fixed it the same day. I will use them for all my computer issues from now on. Same day service compared to 2 weeks. It's a no brainer... Just some food for thought if you ever have computer issues....Don't be bullied into anything always check out your options.

Dirt Devil Surprise

My faith in humanity shrinks every day. I hate it when people don't respect the value of another's time. It drives me nuts. And I feel like almost no one appreciates the time that I have. Andrew's Hearing Part 2
It went as I expected it would. The dean of students(not the one Andrew is buddies with...he came in later) and Andrew's instructor were there. The D of S told Andrew that he was not defending himself because he hit back. Apparently their definition of defending yourself is "trying to restrain the person who is attacking you". BS! Anyway, Andrew and I had to sign an agreement stating that we understand if he gets into a fight again, he will be kicked out of the Tech school permanently. Then they suggested that he sit down with the other kid and "talk out their differences". Are they kidding???? My True Story!!!
When my youngest child was 2 years old, I came home from going to the store to find him hysterical & in tears one day! My hubby (ex now) told me a 'puppy' had been chasing my son around the trailer we lived @ nipping at the back of his diaper! The 'puppy' was fed & taken in by our family while I tried to find the owner of what I thought was a Husky or Malamute puppy, probably about 6-7 weeks old. No one ever claimed her so we named her 'Sheeba' & kept her!It wasn't til she was about 1 1/2 years old before I could afford to take her to a vet (money was very tight back then!) & he told he she was actually a wolf! Left Behind
I find it very interesting. Someone thought I was being taken away by a guy that was going to push everyone out of my life. I find this humerous because he talked to all my friends. Arrival Date
Well for those who have talked to me you know that my wife has now been in labor for 8 days. Yeah it definately sucks. I hate seeing her in pain. She started labor last wedensday and dialated to 3cm and thats where she has been ever since, but thats not all bad. She is almost 39 weeks now and the docs have told us that if she does not have the baby over the weekend then they will induce labor at 6:30am on monday. So we should be proud parents once again by lunchtime monday. Thanks to all those who have kept up on stuff and who have asked how things are your the greatest gang.

Latest 'mum' Update.........
Hi there I hope all is well and good in your world, I thought i would post an update on my mum's condition as i have had such tremendous support from my fu-friends. Mum is out of hospital as of this morning (sat July 5th), i actually get a 'day off' as my sister is spending the entire day and most of the evening with mum. The doctors have given mum some tablets to clear the fluid from her lungs and rest of body so it makes the 'work' easier for her heart.She will have to live with the left-sided failure as they said there isn't much they can do for it. Her chest infection has cleared up thanks to the bombardment of oral and IV antibiotics and she has been on (and has one to use at home) a nebuliser 4 times a day to help 'open' her airways. The doctors decided that her only chance to beat this cancer is to continue with the chemo so as her infection had gone and her cough had cleared they gave her the liquid chemo Thursday and she will have the tablet form on Tuesday 9th

Questions Of Confidence Or Fear?
Have you ever been talking with someone and wanted to say something terribly but you couldn't because you were afraid it would be taken wrong? Or you'd say it wrong? Or any other number of things would happen that are bad? That happens with me way too much. I want to be blunt like I was before and concequences be damned but sometimes concequences can be pretty fuckin' bad. I'm trying to get back to who I was a few years ago as far as my confidence and saying whats on my mind. Part of it is I think too much, another part is I care what people think too much too. If somebody doesn't like me it's they're loss right? Xp Service Pack 3 Is Out...but Beware!
I'm going to be waiting a month to install this one. Why? I had a nightmare twice with Service Pack 2, until I learned that you have to have the patch installed IMMEDIATELY after you install the SP. the second time I installed SP2, my computer couldn't even open a window OFFLINE. When the update thingy said SP3 is available for install, I immediately did a google search for problems involving it. Sure enough, there were some potentially fatal problems with it, like random system crashes and the like. Yeah, I'm waiting a month for a patch before I even consider installing this one. I really don't feel like restoring my system this time.

Back Surgery
If you don’t know by now I recently had back surgery and it went great the dr said. The funny part is that I am in more pain now then I was before the surgery. Now my right leg has this shooting pain that goes all the way down to my foot. My leg is also numb it really does suck. To help the pain the dr gave me meds, but the said part is I am 23 and I am have to take 7 different kinds of meds. They have me taking 15 pills every 6 hours. Some of these pills are heavy narcotics like morphine. I am afraid that I will get hooked on the and it will be a pain in the ass to get off of them! And another thing is when I take all these pills I fill like I cant do much cause I fill weak and drain all the time. My days are just passing me by. The pain gets worse at night so I don’t sleep that much so I just lay in bed thinking! Recently I listened to an interview with Colin Powell. I am a registered Democrat and if Powell, a Republican, would run I would strongly consider voting for him because I trust his judgment and his record. Now, after listening to his interview with MSNBC I hear Powell is endorsing Obama, crossing party lines. CHOCOLATE AMARETTO CHEESE CAKE 2 1/2 c. crushed chocolate cookies (or graham crackers) 1/2 c. melted butter 3 (8 oz.) pkgs. cream cheese 3/4 c. sugar 4 eggs 1 c. chocolate chips, melted 1 tsp. vanilla 1/2 c. Amaretto 1 c. sour cream 2 tbsp. Amaretto Combine crushed cookies with 1/2 cup butter. Press into 9" greased spring form pan 2" up the sides. Chill. Mix sugar and cream cheese, beat until fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Blend in melted chocolate, 1/4 cup butter, 1 cup sour cream, vanilla and 1/2 cup Amaretto; mix well. Pour into crust. Bake at 350 degrees for 65 minutes or until set. Mix 1 cup sour cream with 2 tablespoons Amaretto. Spread on top of cake. Garnish with toasted almonds. Bake for 3 minutes. Cool and refrigerate.

Good News & Bad News
The bad news: there is definitely something invading my entire ductal system. The mammograms showed fairly extensive calcifications that were not present a few weeks ago. The ultrasound showed the area that was biopsied before was much larger, and there are several more areas as well as what looked like an entire duct affected. The good news is my lymph nodes look normal in the ultrasound. I should have the pathology results back on Friday to see if it's cancer for certain... but it's pretty likely.

Place Were I Will Blog My College Shit
Today was the first exam. I had to retake this class due to missing the final by 1 point last term. You have to have both a 70% or higher on total Exam grade along with a 70% or higher for the class. Well a 80 for class and 69 on Exam just don't cut it. Well any ways the 2 past quizes I got A's on, today first exam I got a 88% which is a B+. Last term I barely got a 60% on it. I know theres reasons behind why things work out the way they do,With trying to deal with all the stress of school, home and tryen to work as much as possible last term really got to me harder then I was letting it show. Ingredients: 1 cup Creamy Peanut Butter, plus 2 tablespoons, divided 1 (8 oz.) package cream cheese, softened 1/2 cup sugar 1 (12 oz.) container (4 1/2 cups) frozen whipped topping, thawed and divided 1 prepared chocolate pie crust 1 (11.75 oz.) jar Hot Fudge Spoonable Ice Cream Topping, divided Directions: 1. i can't seem to be nice enough yet i always get treated like crap i want to be a friend but sometimes i am to busy to do the things they want i can't be everywhere at once not at their beckon call i am not their servent i do have a life but no most don't understand this i get shit on time after time i get fucked over no matter what i do its never good enough no matter how hard i try it not the best why can't they see that what they say and do hurts me why don't they know that they hurt me they break me can't they see it no they don't cause if they did they would stop they would care
