Over the past year I've had plenty of time to do some soul searching and introspection. I evaluated and re-evaluated my life and the decisions that led me to where I am today. I found that there are dreams that I haven't realized, but a majority I have. I found myself lamenting the things that I didn't have or that I lost along the way. I mourned them as I would mourn the loss of a realative. It hurt to think that I failed to attain my goals, especially when I compared myself to those around me, from the rich and famous to the homeless man down the street. Slowly, I began to realize something. It's a simple thing, really, but it's one that escaped my notice for a very long time. It may have escaped other's as well, which is why I'm writing about it. The Season Of Lent Doth Approach
I realised last night that it's now less than a month until Lent begins. Shrove Tuesday is February 24th (I have a conflict of interests there, on the one hand, the evening of the year to chill out and eat a dozen pancakes and then feel ill, but on the other, I have tickets for Josie Long, who one day I intend to marry, whether she likes it or not - is she worth giving pancakes up for?), and then I shall be embarking on my now traditional six week personal cleansing routine. Private Azdin Chadli (20) Dutch Royal Army. KIA Monday evening 6th April in Uruzgan. Died in rocket attack at Kamp Holland. Chadli was part of Armored infantry battalion from Oirschot. Chadli was on Afghanistan only short(one week) He was part of Battle Group that started their tour on March 30th. Many others were injured in the attack.

Sick Babygirl!
So I went to my gyno because I thought I was having complications from my surgery that I had last Friday. He told me that my cervix was healing 'beautifully' and that I would not need to return next week for my follow-up... however, he was concerned about my raised blood pressure, my extreme paleness, and excessive weakness. He himself had the flu last week/early this week... So chances are while it didn't display symptoms while he was doing my surgery, I caught it while in surgery. My symptoms, besides what already stated, are random headaches, random bouts of extreme lethargia, body aches, chills, nausea, and feeling like I'm burning up when my temperature isn't even 98 degrees!! So, my gyno, being the nice guy he is, didn't send me to my PCP, and instead treated me himself. He sent me for blood work and gave me a script for Keflex to keep whatever infection I may have at bay. He couldn't give me a definite answer, but he's taking care of me... (which reminds me... Hi, this is Lee. Most of you know me as "hubby," which is fine, as Roxanne usually says nice things about me. :) Roxie won't be here for a few days. At about 6pm Saturday, she had some kind of seizure. After almost 12 straight hours of testing in the ER, that's still the best description we can come up with. I'm not sure if it was a reaction to her meds (which are constantly changing), or what. But she'll be in the hospital until at least tomorrow, and possibly longer. I thought it was pretty common knowledge to people that I talk to that I often have fu open at work and that means I am usually away. I always am afraid that I'm going to be the weird old guy in the audience, but whenever I go, I always have a good time because I like both of those bands. This show wasnt as good as the last one, (Asbury 2008) that one included Seether and Red, but still a very good show indeed. My ears still ring. Stupid Achievements.
I think it's pretty lame that even though I have a verified salute, I don't get the credit for it in the achievements.
