The other day i was driving to the bank. I needed to order new checks and every time i do it by mail or on the computer, somehow my order gets screwed up. Sorting Me out... Ok I took a new job... I even swallowed my pride and went to midnights, when I know it's not the best thing for me or my family. My ex husband is wanting my youngest son to come to florida for the summer and my oldest is getting married in august. Yes That means I will be in Detroit the week of August 8th. I want to go apply for a different job, but I'm afraid of failing horribly. I don't sleep much and when I do it's for a couple hours here and a couple hours there... In so many ways I miss being able to be out with the fair and accepted for who I am and respected for working as hard as I do. Seeing the little ones smiling and people having a good time. I can't bring myself to go to the dr without insurance, my credit is already shot so bad, with the kids and the divorce. It's so hard to pull yourself out after a bad situation. So if i'm not around on here as much just know I do still care... I'm just very busy trying to sort my life out and get back

Thoughts

They range from what is going on in our country, the world, friends family...and the list goes on. so I am going to start a "thought for the moment" blog. Family Comes Together.
The past couple of weeks have been a stressful time for my entire family. My grandfather has been in the hospital for the past two weeks. Weekend before this one he was even in ICU and we honestly did not know if he would be coming out of there. He improved and thankfully has been able to stabilize somewhat. Today he was taken to another hospital where they have more specialized heart doctors. In fact he is at the same hospital that I had my surgery at just a couple of weeks ago. My grandfather is 85 and is really high risk for heart surgery. The doctors are gonna run some more test tomorrow and see if it would be possible to get him back to where he was before all this began with just medicine. All of us have been extremely stressed. My uncle(his son) came from Denver when grandfather went into the hospital. So the entire family has come together. My gf has been making sure she gets me to the hospital before she goes to work so I can sit with him. Since I am still healing from my own

Cancun
So my mom and I leave for Cancun tomorrow. Of course I waited until the last minute to get everything done. But everything is packed, I've taken my shower, the bags are by the door, and I hope I haven't forgotten anything. I'm super pumped! I've never been out of the country. So this whole passport and customs thing should be fun. We got to pick our seats for the flights down there today when I checked in online and they are awesome seats. I'm stoked! We're taking a cab to the airport which should be fun. I like cabs, I don't know why. I guess because I don't get to ride in them often. Then we have a private car picking us up in Cancun and taking us to our hotel. I've read a lot of mixed reviews on the hotel we're staying at. But I think I'll just be the judge when I get there. I hate reading reviews and getting all upset for nothing. But we'll see. Supposedly it's a big party hotel for people around my age. Which seems cool for me, but not for my mom. LOL I have two cameras packed,

This Is Me, Freaking Out.
I have less than a month left on my lease. I haven't packed, and I'm freaking out, because I have no place to go. Someone *offered* to let me rent a room in his condo, but I have yet to see the place. I also need backup plans, and a spare plan, just in case. I'm OCD/neurotic about that kind of thing. Also I loathe, detest and abominate packing. I would like for someone to do it for me. Sadly, it's not going to pack itself. And this time, hopefully my stuff will stay packed for however long it takes me to save up enough money to actually move out of state. Because I truly would rather not move, again. I just went to check on apartments in the area. I pay less for my apartment in Orange County, than what is being offered in Rancho. I've about worked myself into a fairly decent panic attack. Lack of sleep is DEFINITELY not helping right now. I will have to take a nap when I get home.

Wishing It Was Different.
Ok, so many of you know that I have my daughter and I have to take her home June 4th. Any a few of you have even seen my cry because of this fact. I have a few moments where I got away because I need to get these thoughts out. I wish that this wasn't like this. That little girl belongs with me, and not her dad. A few of you have seen me and her on my web cam, and all have said she looks so happy and that I am happy myself. You were right, I have my daughter. It's the first time I've got to bring her home with me since I lost her 6 months ago. Her fathers mom and dad finally realized that visitation is open as long as her father and I agree on things and what not. But anyways, Im hoping and praying that soon things will change, and that little princess will once again be where she belongs....with her mommy. Anyways, back downstairs to play with her and enjoy what little time I have left with her.

Some Good News....
So I found out today my cousin is doing well after her surgery. Finally some good news. They removed her leg from the knee down and has been to therapy a couple times already and will be fitted with her prosthesis soon. She's doing so well she'll be able to come home possibly tomorrow. She's truly incredible. I know she had some special people watching over her through everything!!!! I am still just in awe by her!!!! She's got a strength in her that I could only hope to have!!!! :) :)

They are led by Ray Liotta, in human form, but their costumes look like rejects from LOTR, or perhaps Gwar. In fact, I think Gwar should have designed their costumes, it would have been better. Thinking Of Not Renewing My Vip
Hello all, Since Fubar decided to let members be able to re-rate profiles, I have been seriously considering not renewing my VIP come August because for one, if I did, that would take away from the 100 11's that I have and I don't think it's a real good idea to be re-rating profiles but as that saying goes, that's my opinion and you know what they say about opinions too. If there was a better way which I think there is, namely allowing members to use their fu-bucks to buy more 11's than I think that would make re-rating profiles a lot more interesting besides, for having over 700 friends, that would take 7 days or more to just re-rate everyone's profile, that's ridiculous! So I would say, it's a 60-40 possibility that I won't renew my VIP come August here so if I don't, I hope people understand that and not be upset with me about it either.

Walking To Further Aids Research And Care
This past Sunday, I participated in the San Francisco AIDS Walk. :) It was the fourth time I have walked and it always feels good. Although, this was the first time I walked alone, I found that I didn't need a pacer. I walk for my father and everyone else in my life that has passed due to AIDS. There is one thing that I will NOT due next time. lol I stupidly said I would work for someone afterward. I went to work and about 8pm, my body said that was enough and didn't want to move anymore. Cajun Sausage Dressin'
For those of you that are not "in the know," dressin' is Southern for stuffin'. And yes, The "g" sound at the end is VERBOTEN! I made some last night for my friends and it went over very well, so I thought I'd share the recipe. Feel free to do the Scott Thompson "Sausages" routine from Kids in the Hall while making this, cause I did. And if you don't know KitH, you suck ass. The awesome thing about Cajun is that you can make like the most gigantic pot of it ever and eat it for like two weeks. You could also add and subtract at will, every recipe can be easily halved or doubled. I've Moved

My Past Weekend
As most of ya'll know I took the younger two boys to see Thomas the Tank Engine in Lakeville on Saturday. It's the second year in a row they've been to it. It's like crack for them. I Just Dont Understand
Everybody or almost everyone has visited a Mumm or posted one right? Dangerous!
I've had a trampoline in my backyard for years... it's fun and a great workout! Usually in the evening if the weather is nice I'll go out and exercise on it for half-an-hour or so. The other night though, things went horribly wrong! My 1st clue should have been me wondering just how long I've had this thing and would it ever wear out... LOL! I'd been on it about 5 minutes with no problems, when I went down on my knees and POP! the thing exploded like a balloon I swear! It opened right up across the middle and down I went... knees were hung up in 1 side of the thing and the rest of me went straight down thru the middle of the rip. Thank God for great reflexes; I got my hands down in front of my face and just barely caught myself, nose inches from the ground! It was a very near face plant to the ground I swear. I pulled myself back up onto 1 half of the trampoline and just laid there for about 10 minutes, stunned! That was a very VERY close call. I'd guess I've had that tramp

Heart Attack Not B_tching Tho!
Ok lets see, last Sunday evening while sitting on the couch after a very stressful afternoon I had a mild heart attack. Now after the usual ambulance ride to the ER and 4 hours in there I had four people (Medical) tell me it was a mild attack. Also they were admitting me overnight for observations, which is all understandable. Since I am or was a smoker they would give me a shot for the cravings, this did not happen and when I asked for it and yet nothing, which was more agitating. Anyhoots, why does everyone tell you to get lots of rest and to get well in hospitals when you don't do either cause someone is coming constantly for this or that and germs are everywhere in there LOL. Okay where was I,oh yeah now being in the beginning stages of diabetes I am lucky enough I do not need meds yet for it, I control it thru diet which means eating healthy and seemingly constantly. Aunt Helen's Manhattan Clam Chowder
AUNT HELEN'S MANHATTAN CLAM CHOWDER 6 slices bacon, diced 1 large onion, chopped 2 large potatoes, diced 1 bottle clam juice (8 ounces) 20 fresh clam or 2 cans (8 ounces each) minced clams 1 pound tomatoes, peeled and coarsely chopped 1 teaspoon salt freshly ground pepper 1/2 teaspoon thyme Saute the bacon and onion together. Add the potatoes and clam juice. Simmer, covered, for 15 minutes or until potatoes are tender. Dtir in the clams, with juice, if using canned, and tomatoes. Simmer until bubbly and sseason with with salt, pepper to taste, and thyme. Yields: 4 - 6 servings

BAKED POTATO SOUP 4 lg. baking potatoes 2/3 c. butter 2/3 c. all-purpose flour 6 c. milk 1/2 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. pepper 1 med. onion, chopped 12 slices bacon, cooked, crumbled and divided 1 1/4 c. shredded Cheddar cheese, divided 8 oz. sour cream Wash potatoes and pierce several times with a fork. Bake at 400 degrees for 1 hour or until done. Let cool. Cut potatoes in half lengthwise, then scoop out pulp. Melt butter in saucepan over low heat. Add flour, stirring until smooth. Cook 1 minute, stirring constantly. Gradually add milk, cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until mixture is thickened and bubbly. Add potato pulp, salt, pepper, onions, 1/2 cup bacon, and 1 cup cheese. Cook until thoroughly heated, stir in sour cream. Add extra milk, if necessary, for desired thickness. Serve with remaining bacon and cheese

Grandmother's Passing..
Monday 27th of Oct, my Grandmother passed away. It was rather quick. Was only told about it on the Sunday morning, 9 am off my Dad. There was time to go there to the hospital, and briefly see her. Missing Emily
Kinda funny, I got through thanksgiving(the whole family got together for the 1st time in awhile) fairly well despite the fact that there's apicture of Emily in any direction you look at my mom's. All the drinking probably helped(my other neice discovered vodka while she was in Poland this year). Even putting Emily's ornament on the tree didn't make me lose it too bad. Wretch is out of Niles, Ohio. The band is a classic traditional power metal band straight out of Cleveland’s glorious 80's underground, featuring current and former members from Beyond Fear, Seven Witches and Breaker. Wretch has a record label with Auburn Records. Following up last year’s critically-acclaimed “Reborn” album, Wretch returned with a collection of previously unreleased material in support of their feature performance at this year’s 2007 Headbanger’s Open Air Festival in Germany July 12-14.
