Remembering A Great Man!
Today marks 3 full year that my dad passed away from lung cancer....He entered the hospital Dec. 2004 and was never able to come home again passing away July 20th 2005, 2 weeks to the day after my 27th bday...We watched this great fantastic man fade away before our eyes... well hair story again.. so i got more opinions on bleaching my hair.. and talked with one of my high school friends.. who is a hair stylist... she gave me a more professional opinion.. and i decided not to go that route.. bleaching ruins and kills your hair.. and i like my natural pretty hair as is..lmao so in order not to ruin my hair i didn't bleach it..instead my friend, the hairstylist, lightened my hair and did the pink..for some reason that turqoise would make my hair darker..so we decided to hold off on that color till later. pink came out darker than expected but i can live with that..lol just as long as my hair stays as healthy as she has been...lol i wanna do the colors but i'm not risking my healthy hair basically..lol so i'll take pics later when i'm in the mood:P ~dina

The Time Has Come For Iraq...
I got a call from MSG Reiner today around 1335 or so. It was to tell me I was put on the primary list, but not for the 28th Aviation Brigade. But for the 56th instead. I go to AT the 2-14th of September and then he said straight after I'll be considered pretty much active duty and I'll be heading off to Camp Shelby, Mississippi for pre-MOB until around Christmas. I'll come home and spend the holiday with my family and then I'll be headed off to the other side of the pond when the new year strikes. Its the 10th of August and again, this type of thing is just thrown onto me without hardly any advanced notice. I had this problem with SRP. I was told 23 hours before I was supposed to be there about it. So Im not really too happy. So there are some big changes happening with me now. Parents are moving and that means I'll be putting my stuff in storage on like the 1st of September for a year or two until I get back. Im going to have to drop my bike insurance. I dont

Olympics...done!
So, I totally got lazy and never finished out my Olympic Blog. So this one will be rushed and be missing everything that I really wanted to say. Let me see if I can remember what happened sports wise the last few days. Well, the Redeem Team one and I'm glad. I really thought these millionaire 'cry babies' were genuine for the first time since the first dream team way back when. Basketball is our sport and we need to stay on top of it. The Mens Vollyball team won which was awesome. I'm really happy for that coach who's inlaws got attacked. It was really a storybook ending and it's a great thing when you see athletes pushing themselves beyond their normal limits for someone they care about. The americans couldn't hang in the Marathon. I didn't think they would but NBC gave us a nice glitzy promo suggesting we had a chance. It's pretty amazing how strong the african nations are in distance running. I'm probably forgetting a lot of those 'memorable' moments again. Hopef

APRIL 25,2005 LOSING FRIENDS I remember when my life fell apart the night of July 6,1999. My very dear and loyal friend was murdered. I didn't know what to expect that night but the days after were pure hell!!! The monster who took her life got away with it and watched others go down for what he had done to her... I had to look over my shoulder for 7yrs b/c at one time my life was almost destroyed by this monster... The day I found out he struck again my whole world fell apart again right before my eyes... The pain and sorrow i suffered for so long came back harder then ever! I struggle everyday to be able to have the strength to move on and face the obstacles in my life but with them gone makes it that much harder to endure... Update On My Crazy Life As I Know It!

Last night my husband and I visited our second Stars Cabaret Club... this time we visited their Beaverton, OR location whereas our last visit on Aug. 23 was to their Salem location. Swimming In The Dating Pool Again
As many of you know I am a widow. I have not dated much since my late husband passed. It is not the fact I have NOT been asked; it is the fact that I am older and pickier. I Just Returned From 9 Days In The Cayman Islands But Missed A Jimmy Buffett Concert There
I just returned from my 9 day adventure on Grand Cayman Island while staying at a beachfront home I have access to and this trip was my best yet to this marvelous Caribbean paradise. You know that feeling when nothing goes right? And you just get tired of trying? Sometimes I think the only reason I don't give up is because I fear what will happen if I do. Sonogram Results
Hey peeps...went to the doc today to get a sonogram to check on the beast growing inside of me and guess what...he has the biggest head ever...omg wtf...I hpe that I dont have to have a c section or hope that h doesn't get stuck on the way out...other then that they said that he's okay and that he will probably be around 7 lbs, 7 oz. 'm not sure if I've ever told you the story about the Two Bibles. I'm unsure because like many salty sailors I tend to tell and re-tell stories and of course there is always the occasional sea story that I tell. When Is Enough Truly Enough?
I have found that my life has had ups and downs for as long as I can remember. My downs do not stay for long because I am very good at lifting my chin up and carrying on. I do not quite know why I am this way, for the most part I thank my father for his parenting skills. Things could have been a lot worse for me, I know for sure as I see it on a daily basis. Currently I am in the second half of my deployment. Due to financial considerations I stayed a bit longer to make sure that I have one more good year. I also have the hopes that I will not be deployed anytime in the near future. I do not have any regrets with the service that I have given to my country. Failure...
Today I feel like a complete failure as a parent. My son is not thriving in the first grade and I can't help but take it personal. I do what I can at home. We practice handwriting, math, reading...and at home he's brilliant...but at school, he just doesn't care so he refuses to do any work. I'm at a complete loss for what to do anymore. I've failed him somewhere...I had to sit and listen for an HOUR about how terribly he does any work at school. Not one single assignment in the last few months was done to completion and he got 0/100 on a prep exam for standardized testing. Okay, so I have been looking into the world of rock, outside of the U.S. More than likely, this blog is going to turn into the start of a chain of blogs on this same topic, so keep your eyes open for more.
