Friends And Family
Well this is just not a good time of the year for me, I lost my mother 2 years ago in september and thent his year find out that my father is also very ill and the doctors have given him 6-9 months to live. Last week a wonderful friend of mine that I help tutor local kids and work part time with at the school got into a bad car accident and the doctors missed that she had internal injuries and she passed away on saturday eveing. There are times where i wish that you could just push a button like you do on a remote and fast forward through the bad times and give more time for the good times and no matter what always remeber the good memories and forget the bad ones all they do is drag you down..........

Internet Issues
I'm still having internet issues. It takes me 15 minutes to bring up fubar and several more to open any page on here and so I can't spend much time on this site. I hope my real friends understand and will be here someday. This is a good way to weed out my "friends" I suppose.

Well Obama's victory would pretty much seem to put an end to John McCain's political career. As I was standing there today on parade, I realized that it wasn't just a regular parade. Today is Remembrance Day here in Canada. Veterans Day for my friends south of the border. Other countries also pay homage on the eleventh hour of the eleventh month to the men and women that served and fell for our respective countries. I don't have any time overseas so I can't relate to what some of my fellow soldiers have witnessed and encountered, but I do appreciate everything they've done for us. What I can share, though, is a moment from today: The clock struck 11 on this day. I was standing there in ranks in the small community of Wilton, ON at a cenotaph at a fork in the road. 5 names were on that memorial from men who served in the first world war. When the bugle stopped playing to signify the eleventh hour, we fell silent for our two minutes of respect. The wind picked up and our flag started blowing in the wind from its half-mast position. Honesty
When did honesty go out of style? Since when did people start sugar coating the truth or using avoidance? I would rather have people tell me the truth and hurt now than spend all my time trying to read between the lines and hurt more later. I use that same thing with other people. Poor Kid
Just got back from spending three days in the hospital with my son Tommy. He had symptoms of meningitis. Fever, stiff neck. There had been two cases in this county in the past month. Poor kid had to have a spinal tap, IV, blood cultures. Test concluded it wasn't meningitis, just a virus, thank God. Tommy was in a very grumpy mood our last hours there. Not even early Christmas presents could cheer him up. He was all ready to go and we had been waiting for the discharge. Tom was beside me when I signed the paper work and he kicked the nurse! I am close to 35 years old now and I was raised a totally different way than the way things go today. Custody Battles!, It's Terrible
