On the way to work this morning, I encountered a not so shocking problem. There were 6 huge hogs blocking the roadway. I almost hit the fuckers. Obviously, they'd escaped their pen and were lounging in the road and someone's driveway, sunning themselves and eating flowers. I had to pull into the ditch to keep from hitting them, and as I sat there, car surrounded by hogs, the 911 operator tells me she can't send anyone to help me until I can give her an address. What? Okay, lady....this town isn't so big that if you send an officer down Lake Douglas Rd, he won't be able to find the blue lancer surrounded by fucking hogs, for Christ's sake. I simply tell her that if she sends someone a couple miles outside the city limit, he'll spot 'em. I'm just doing what I can to save both hogs and people from injury. What else could I do?

I really hate this city. Its hard to tell if I hate Chicago now more than when I just moved to US, or vice versa. I see that the auto makers are getting bailed out.they would never been in that trouble if they would have channed the gear ratio in thier trucks and found more ways to make cars more fuel effeicent. Not So Good News
My uncle's surgery went well. They were able to remove the entire growth. They took samples of the lymph nodes in his lung and upper chest to have them tested. The lungs are clear. The upper chest, not so good. In a few of the lymph nodes they found stage 3 Cancer. It didn't show up on the PET scan because they were so small, about the size of a pin head. So that means my uncle gets to go through four months of radiation and chemo. Doctor was honest and told my uncle he has a 50/50 chance. Obviously, we're hoping for the best but the reality is it might not turn out that way in the end.
