7 Mons Old Now

Justin And Freestyle!
My 16 year old Justin is in Sedalia this weekend for the State Freestyle/Greco Roman Wrestling Tournament. He moved up in class this year from cadet to junior..He won it all last year.. but as with everything, the competition in the junior class is much tougher than cadet. He has had no formal training in freestyle or greco roman, just uses instinct and the wrestling knowledge he already has..which is a lot.. so this year he took 2nd in freestyle..being beaten on points to the number 2 guy in the nation... at least he wasn't pinned! He thinks he will get 2nd to the same guy in greco roman as well, but I think he can win it! I'm so proud of my baby!

After 4 (very long) years, I will finally have my Associates Degree and a Certificate of Completion in Information Technology. Tomorrow is the end of this term, and I am so happy it is over!!! Surgery Was A Success!!!
At last!!! Surgery went well!! My little man came through with flying colors!! Recovery took the longest. He had a little bit of a rough time there, but now, all is well. Today was his first day back to school. That seems to have gone well too. He's not happy about the restrictions that he has, but as of this Saturday, he gets the green light to do what he wants. I sure hope this is the end of his mysterious abdominal pain he was having. Time will tell I guess. I want to thank everyone for the kind words and support they have shown me. A special thanks to Red and Rick. You guys have been wonderful. I couldn't ask for better friends than you guys. I'll keep you updated on the recovery process, til then, thanks to all and take care.

Historic Night
First off, let me start by saying, Thank God the Clinton - Obama race is over! Congrats to Hillary on a great race and congrats to Obama for his victory tonight. It's been interesting to say the least. As a history lover and a future history teacher the significance of this night is just so overwhelming! I'm so proud that I'll be able to tell my children that I was able to witness this event. While politics can become irritating, I am so anxious to see how this election will unfold. Well it's a beautiful day today, Sunday August 17th. I've opened up all the windows in the house to get some fresh air in. I've lit a few candles, cleaned the house and started the laundry. I've been fighting with my own feelings about what I should do with my home life....leave or don't leave cuz nothing ever changes here and I so want alot more than this! I Never Would Have Guessed It Would Happen
Never in my life would have I imagined that because I gave out my messenger name and phone number, that just texting, and talking to someone, would lead to love, a fu-wedding and a relationship. On a text she told me she loved me and I had to pick my jaw up off of the floor of the car. I was in a parking lot waiting for someone to come back. I asked her if it was just a friendship love, or if it was a marry me type of love. The answer I got floored me as well, I never guessed that we would start to love each other right then, get fu-married the same day, and start a relationship a day later. ok this past Saturday my mom had trouble breathing so i called the life squad and they took her to the hospital. when i get there with my great aunt they tell us that she has had a massive heart attack and that is why she was having trouble breathing. they put her in the ICU and have a ventilator on her to help clear out the water in her lungs but they are worried about her heart since it was weak to begin with before this last heart attack and they told my great aunt and I the she may not make it but they are also hopeful because of her numbers are doing so well while she is on the ventilator. for the next few days they are going to try and wing her off it and get her breathing on her own. i will try to keep every one up to date on whats going on and what not. Please pray for her to get better. thanks to everyone that has said they would pray for her.

My Heart Aches
I became a grandmother for the first time last March. It was the best feeling in the world. My son and his girlfriend was living in Texas with my sister. The girlfriend packed up one and came back home to Michigan. She wouldn't let me see my granddaughter for the longest time. She was jumping all over with her sleeping were ever. She petitioned the courts for full custody but my son got custody and took my granddaughter back to Texas, it was a sad day seeing her leave. My sister invited the girlfriend to Texas for Christmas. Concerning Times In Chicago Living.
My favorite big cities are Chicago, Berkeley, and Austin Texas. I lived in Chicago 4 years while pursuing graduate studies in math at U of Chicago, on full fellowship -- National Science Foundation Traineeship. I lived in Hyde Park neighborhood of course, in married student housing. I also attended Northern Baptist Theological Seminary one quarter -- concurrent with U of Chicago. Doing both proved to be too much for me, so I quit seminary although I was getting straight As. I also participated 2 years in a food coop called "Cornucopia" which eventually failed. It was citywide, wanting to assist poor people get better bang for their buck. I was the leader of a group of 30 families that participated. I collected the list of items, went down to Cornucopia location & purchased, & took them to location to be distributed amongst us. ok so ya all know i take alot of pictures some are good some not so good some are religious some aren't. but i will never preach to anyone... i was there for a very historic event. the first bible written in the qhiche language. which is a mayan dialect. funny thing is when i went to school i was taught that the mayan were extinct. which is not the case and prolly why they hold a very big piece of my heart. my cousin preacher billy has spent most of his life in guatemala with these people. it took him 25 years to translate the bible into there language. it was an honor for me to be apart of the ceremony. and something i will remember for the rest of my life. i hope you enjoy the pics and there culture as much as i have. thanks

The Speedo Debate Who would've thought that a tiny contraption that fits snugly around a man's jewels could become the subject of such intense debate? I receive e-mail on a virtual daily basis regarding how cool or appalling people think Speedos are. So which side of the Speedo spectrum is the majority on? From what I can gather, swimming briefs are quite appealing across Europe, but unfortunately (or fortunately, depending on how you look at it), you'd be hard-pressed to find any man in North America donning a pair of them. Nope, it's baggy swimming trunks for the good old red, white and blue. so, are they stylish? Depending on whom you ask, Speedos are considered a godsend or a curse. I feel that if they allow a blog section on a website as they do allowing pics on a site for ratings, WHY IS IT NO ONE IS READING AND RATING ANY BLOGS> This site is not playboy magazine. There are more here than just pretty pictures to look at. People share thoughts, dreams, ideas, tears in their beer or just to rant and rave about trivial bullshit. You get points for rating blogs too, it wouldn't hurt to do it once and while. Hell it might be nice if people actually commented more on blogs. I am not just saying to bomb pretty chicks who talk about how to look in their private folders and such, I mean actually look around at your Friends and fans blogs and read rate and comment. Give those that don't have massive albums a reason to blog besides sheer boredom.

I found out about 3 years ago that I have a younger sister that is in her early 20's, around the louisville, ky area, and her name is Megan Whalen. I could have spelled the name wrong but that's how it sounds. If anyone knows of anyone that could be that person then please let me know. My Feelings
Well, Friday night was definitely interesting! We went to go see my favorite local band, Plan B, that I hadn't seen since late last year. Well, some old friends of ours came into the bar, which was a bit uncomfortable for me, as I hadn't seen either Michelle or Ann in quite a while. My Family
I know i havent told anybody here yet as i only come here a few times a day compared to Myspace or FaceBook, but here is some info: Ok,( spoke with my mom, my dad called me earlier and gave me the basic info) found out my mom had a heart attack on Monday sometime late afternoon. and was taken to the hospital in Salem that nite. then in the early morning, she was sent up to St Vincent Hospital in Portland. She will be having Quintuple (5) bypass surgery sometime tomorrow morning(Friday the 17th) and then will be in recovery until sometime around sat nite early Sunday when the Dr's expect she will go home on Sunday She apparently likes most of her nurses and gets along with them pretty well, they are talking with her and its not like the usual scenario where they just come in check on you and leave they are actually INTERACTING with her. i would like you to send any and all positive energy and prayers to her and my dad ( they live in Salem ) he doesn't deal well with hospitals as i do

I see not just Women but Men as well day in and day out, not just plus sized, but averaged and small as well who for some reason or another have chosen to not take pride in how they look or who they are.I do not mean that one must primp themselves and make themselves up every day. For all of those that doesnt know whats going on in our life, my dad(jason typing), has terminal cancer. He was diagnosed in january and is in last stages. No kind of chemo or radiation is able to cure or help him. He is my step-dad, but the only dad i have had since i was 2 1/2. He is a vietnam vet and a proud american and man. He doesnt even show his pain to us even now. He can barely walk or even sit up most days. His bodily fuctions are shutting down as we speak, but yet he holds on, trying to protect my mom and the rest of us from pain.
