Well,I tried to help some one out and yet it seems to have backfired on me. He husband just came back from Iraq to find out that she has wrote lost in bad checks so he wants a divorce. Island Encounter
The husband and I arrived on the island late Friday night. We settled into our room for the night after making plans for the next day. On October 15th we remember our babies we have lost due to miscarriage, stillbirth, SIDS, infant death and other pregnancy complications. Goin' To The Big Show!
I have taken a position in a dusty, far away land. Tomorrow morning I'm on a plane to Virginia for a couple weeks of orientation and training then off to Georgia for more of the same. Everyone I tell gives me the same "Are you Crazy" look...I'm not. I'm well aware that I'll be in a war zone and I'm going to be extra cautious with regard to that but honestly, I'm excited. How hard is it for people to run Spell Checker before the send something?I've been reading through various items on here and elsewhere. There is a serious problem with the English language. We as a country have become very illiterate. We are in such a hurry to do things. We dont double check our work. Alot of the mistakes and misspelled words are pretty sad. I know its alot to remember. But, doesn't anyone take pride in their things anymore? I know even at work I get some pretty sad emails. Funny thing is. These are supposed to be these highly educated individuals. Tired Of It All At Work
This blog may sound like I am bitching and moaning, but I work as a sous chef at an assisted living home. I work and work till I am worn out by the time I go home. I have a co worker that works there, but also works another job and I am not really sure why. Anyway, my boss sent him home yesterday before I got to work because he says he was tired. I come to work tired some times because of the other things I have to do around the house. Welllllll I get a phone call this morning and called back. It was my boss thinking he was going to have to ask me to come in. If this had been me I would have have gotten my ass canned. He has done this mess before and even got his ass put in the hospital because of one of his "problems". Doesn't seem too fair does it???? Wish I could go into work and then decide I didn't want to work and be able to go home.

I Slayed The Dragon!!!!
The Tail of the Dragon that is, Highway 129 - The Dragon, as many have found, is truly a unique road. In 14 miles there are only two intersections; NC28 to Fontana Dam and the lightly traveled gravel road at Parsons Branch. There are no buildings other than the Crossroads of Time. There are 318 curves in the 11 miles located on the Tennessee side. Most of the time there is very little traffic and the vehicles that do use this road are primarily motorcycle riders and sports car drivers looking for the thrill of their lives. I drove the dragon in my little Solstice sports car - all the way there were photographers getting pics of my sweet ride! Joshua Xavier Update****Prayers needed Superman's MOM many of you know, Joshua Xavier was born at 3months due to IUGR. He has been in the NICU ever since and is doing well. He was only 5 pounds 1 oz and is now up to a 5 pounds 3onces. He is doing great and is a true fighter. They are now focusing on nutrition and getting him to get some fat on those bones! . UPDATE ::::: My little man got an infection and his health had deteriorated tremendously within the last 24 hours. Ingredients: - 2 pounds of Shrimp - 1 Green Bell pepper - 1 Orange bell pepper - 1 Yellow bell pepper - 2 Roma Tomatoes - 1/2 of a big Onion - 8oz of Mushrooms - 1 bottle of Samuel Adams (Boston Ale) - Salt - Medley Peppercorn - Butter - Olive Oil Take off the shell of the Shrimp and take off the puppy of the shrimp out!!! Wash shrimp well.. Put olive Oil and Butter to melt in a Medium High Heat let butter melt.. Cut Bell pepper (all of them) in strips same as the Roma Tomatoes, wait till shrimp is nicely Cook and red!Give it about 20 min let the olive oil and butter consume down add Onions and mushrooms 1st then the peppers and for last the Tomatoes.. let them get caramelize (get Golden) when this is done add the Samuel Adams and let it cook for 5 mins and is done Have some rice and Broccoli for side and you have a nice dinner!!! First let me start off I am here because somone on thi site i know invited me. She is close to my age, so i checked out this site and realized there are alot of 30+ people on it. So I joined but lately i have been noticing alot of younger users 18,19,and early 20's. There easy to spot even if they dont hve there age there page looks like a myspace page, and usually just by the music they listen too. My general rule is you can communicate with people 10 years older and 10 years younger and not have a generation gap. Been laid off, got no car , sacked out on my brother's couch in a no horse town, got divorced, can't see my kid's cause they're two thousand mile's away and I can't find work to save my life. What's Been Going On With Dzr
Well let me start by saying I'm sorry to all my friends and fans. This has been an exhausting year. When I first started DZRadio, I was working for myself and had pretty liberal hours. With the economy going to hell in an handbag I was forced to take a job for someone else, and my hours are extraordinarily high. Then you combine that with the fact that I am back out in the field working in the heat everyday. I have found that I have been exhausted pretty much everyday. I've also been working injured ( broken toe, shoulder problems, etc). Life in general has made it difficult to DJ on a regular basis. I had hope DZR would continue to operate without my constant presence, but that doesn't seem to be the case. R.i.p. Aunt Cathy Bahl
She was our Rock of Gibraltar in the family. She was our spirit, my all-time favourite aunt. I grew up with her. She was like a 2nd mom to me. She died 2 nights ago, from a brain tumour. And even though, every now and then defeat looms overhead, I know that I will conquer all my demons. I am blessed, and I am loved. I can go on knowing that I am never alone or out of His sight. God has truly blessed me with exceptional people. My daughters will grow up knowing a loving God and that I did not turn my back or hide with my tail between my legs. Went to Denmark in August for a Wiki conference that as being held in Odense. The people that i met in Chicago were going also. Nightmoves Entertainment Weekend, Day 5
Sorry it took me so long to post the final day of fun, but life's decided to throw me a couple curveballs at work, so I haven't had as much time as I would have liked. Anyhoo, here's what happened the day after the awards. Woke up late and got dressed to go to the pool party that Paul and Tracy throw to reward everybody for a job well done. It's a wonderful time to just sit back, relax, and get crazy. And boy does it ever each year! INGREDIENTS 2 LB Lamb Fillet, cubed 2 LB Potatoes, diced 10 Shallots, peeled and chopped 12oz carrots, diced 2 small leeks, chopped 2 celery sticks, chopped 1 pint Chicken Stock Half Level teaspoon dried Rosmary Half Level teaspoon dried Sage 2 Tablespoons olive oil Salt and Pepper INSTRUCTIONS 1. Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a large pan, add lamb and fry until brown. 2. Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in frying pan, add carrots, celery and leeks, fry on low heat until light brown, add to saucepan and mix with lamb. 3. Stir in chicken stock, add seasoning and herbs, bring gently to the boil, stirring continuously. 4. Reduce heat and simmer for approx. 60 minutes until lamb is tender. 5. Add the potatoes and cook for a further 40 minutes until all vegetables are cooked, stir intermittently. 6. Serve immediately.
