I just wanted to take a second to thank you for your prayers... My biopsy results came back today and I have a clean bill of health thus far :) Tho the mass in my mouth will need to be monitored over time, all tests came back negative. I still have to go for the mole biopsy and see the ObGyn but I am feeling so much more positive about the outcome of those tests!!!!! I will keep y'all posted.... Helpless
I feel so helpless. Have you ever had a life that maybe wasn’t the best? It maybe wasn’t what you really wanted, but it was worthwhile? One minute you’re running around trying to make last minute birthday plans for your daughter. The next minute you’ve slipped into a diabetic coma. On January 16, my 25th birthday, my mom did just that. We thought we had lost her. One minute she was asking me to make the room stop spinning and the next, shes lying helpless in a hospital bed. My mom had a job, had a life, had a husband, and she had a daughter and grandson who love her dearly. I had a choice to make. I was on disability myself but temporarily. I was on my way to finding a job and finally getting back on my feet. I went to my pyschiatrist where she informed me that disability would be a good choice for me. I’m okay with that now... my mom needs me. I owe it to her to help her. Shes now on insulin and has a hard time getting around. Shes suffering from ambulatory dysfunction and neuropathy.

Deleting Friends
I have begun to clear out my friends list. I am doing this because I keep having friends who I rate their profile and photos when they have Auto 11s and they cannot help me out when I ask for it. I hardly every have Auto 11s and when I have them hardly any of my 1,000 plus friends come by. Also, when I get into an Auction no one reads the blogs or bullys and everyone wants to give me a hard time when I ask them to either bid on me or rate my pic. If you have been a true friend of mine during the 2 years I have been on Fubar than none of this is directed at you. I will be going through my friends list and rating everyone online through the next couple of weeks and those who do not rate back will get deleted. Fed Up!
Ya know i understand this industry of towboating isnt a bag of cookies with a glass of milk but damn im sick of getting my ass chewed out for doing the same job as someone next to me who is lazy as hell and for some god forsaken reason he makes twice my wages. they bitch about what goes on at home wont help with the job yet somehow mysteriously keep their jobs. seems to be no end in site with this drama hence i have begun applying at every damn boat company i can think of to get away from wkn and all their bullshit. what good does it do when a captain puts you in for a raise saying you need to be making top deckhand pay and they continue to pay you green (inexperienced) deckhand pay because some guy on a power trip is a dispatcher and controls your wages? i cant seem to win for loosing its bad enough being stuck on a boat for 28 days but when you add in the lower pay and whining ugh im ready to throw my hands up.... any suggestions?

Right now I don’t know whether to be pissed, insulted, taken for granted, foolish or just plain stupid. Losing It All...
Losing it all, I lost it all in one day, losing your best friend, is losing the only one you can trust the only one who understands you, and the only one who knows your secrets. He is alive but...but I'am dead to him, and it hurts, just stupid bullshit comes between us that is not true and stuff I never said, was never even a argument, was just a good bye in so many words. The Dark Knight
I know, this is a little late. I've had some things going on though, that I haven't been able to get to the movies to see it. So I've had two weeks of hype, I've heard top ten movies of all time, I've heard Oscars, record setting box office...all of it in my head when I went to see it. They were correct about the record setting box office. I tried to keep an open a mind as possible, because I do like to be fair. And for 3/4's of the movie, they were right, it was spectacular. Steam Punk Voodoo Doll
I am participating in a crochet voodooo doll challenge/swap. Here's the deal, I was given the request of one of the other swap participants; she asked that the doll I create has elements of engineering and/or "steam Punk". I had no idea what Steam Punk was, I had never heard of it. So, after a little research, I have found that Steam Punk -- in my words -- is a victorian sci-fi type genre. The best example I know of, is the characters and world created in the Wild Wild West movie (and previously the old tv series). It is a fantasy world of inventions and gadgets placed in a Victorian setting. I have so far finished the head, and neck. the neck is a spring that I removed from the battery compartment of a flashlight key chain. I used the LED bulb from the same flashlight for one key; and a 'crystal ball' ring I'd bought ages ago for the other eye. Whew!
I'm all moved! OMG I never wanna do that again!! To move within the same city / town is one thing, but to relocate to a different state?? Anyway, thank goodness it's done. My family made the drive from IL to OH the Friday before Labor Day, we got the moving truck, got'er loaded, left about 8:30pm Saturday, made some stops along the way for a power nap, breakfast, etc.and got here about 9:30am Sunday. We're staying with my parents right now to give me time to get a job and get some bills paid off before I get my own place. I worry about invading everyone elses space plus I gotta have my own too, but its definitely a break I needed. Also, jobs here dont pay as well but the cost of living is considerably less too. I'll just feel alot better when I have a job so I know what I'm gonna be up against. Finally, Some Halfway Good News...
The surgical oncologist feels that it is safe to wait for my mastectomy until after my cruise on Feb. 1-6. So I'll be able to make it through the holidays, NYE concert, and cruise without worrying about pain or only having 1 boob or being lopsided or anything. And I shouldn't have many problems getting the surgeons I've already seen, so I should be able to avoid extra consultations. The only downside is now I don't get to wear a "cancer survivor" tshirt on the cruise :P And there's still a chance the cancer will grow and become invasive by then... but this "blessing" by the oncologist is taking a HUGE load off my mind. My cousin Robert got in a bad motorcycle accident recently and is in the hospital in ICU. recently I received the news my father after having open heart surgery, has no money. All along the family beleived that his retirement was still intact, this would have taken care of sum bills . We now know there isnt any money and have pulled together to get him help. Going To Sea
Well, I managed to serve 24 years in the US Navy without going to sea AT ALL! Now that I have retired from active Naval Service, I'm going to sea on the aircraft carrier USS Harry S. Truman for 11 days! It will be a working trip too! No sitting back with wide eyes being a tourist, nope, I'll be on the flight deck helping the jets take off and land! I've done this once before for my current employer, but that was for only 4 days. This trip will be for 11 days! I'm looking forward to it.

Corn-stuffed Pork Chops
While I'm on the pork chops and Crock Pot kick, here's another one.. 5 to 6 pork chops, each 1-2" thick. 1 (7oz) can whole kernel corn, un-drained. 1 cup soft bread crumbs 1 Tbsp instant minced onion 2 Tbsp minced green pepper 1 tsp salt 1/2 tsp sage With a sharp knife, cut a horizontal slit in the side of each chop to make a pocket for stuffing. Mix undrained corn, bread crumbs, onion, salt and pepper (to taste) and sage. Spoon mixture into pork chops and close slits with toothpicks or skewers. Place chops on metal rack or trivet in Crock Pot. Cover and cook on Low for 6-8 hours. For a nice treat, serve with fruit salad and lemon-buttered broccoli.

well....today was the day...my youngest was off to full-day kindegarten and yes, im not afraid to admit, i did shed some tears. Jake, on the other hand, didn't seemed to phased by the enormity behind this day. Man I did too much hoaring yesterday. Marathon Man
The marathon I am entered is less than seven weeks away. Yesterday I did a practice run with some new headphones, some new shorts, and 13.1 miles out on the open road. Upcoming Surgery.....
An update for my friends.....Some of you know that I have been living with some serious neck and arm pain for a while now....I dealt with a quack of a doctor for over a year now that put me through some really tough stuff....... I finally went back to an awesome doc that is honestly one of the best in the country....He redid all of my tests tests and when the results came in he knew right away what is wrong with me..... I have a severe disc herniation at c 5/6 and another one at c 6/7... I am so relieved! I have been losing the use of my left arm and the last "doctor" left me thinking I was crazy! I did my research and knew my symptoms were classic and since I have had a lumbar fusion I knew I wasn't crazy but the last "doc" made me feel like I was being a baby.... So.....Surgery is set for Oct. 9th....I'm having a double fusion.....I have chosen to use my own pelvic bone for the fusion instead of donor bone and I know this is a major cause of pain after the surgery since that's

Woman Wearing Cow Suit Charged With Disorderly Conduct POSTED: 12:00 pm EDT September 30, 2008 MIDDLETOWN -- A Middletown woman is accused of being disorderly in public -- while wearing a cow suit. A police report filed about the incident said Michelle Allen allegedly chased children in her neighborhood while wearing the suit on Monday evening. Allen also urinated on a neighbor's front porch, the report said, and was warned by officers to go home and stay there. Allen was charged with disorderly conduct after an officer found her causing traffic problems on North Verity Parkway. The officer's report stated that Allen was verbally abusive to him on the trip to jail and smelled of alcohol. The report did not speculate as to why Allen was wearing the cow suit.

Out Of Surgery
Well she is out of surgery. I was told everything went good. They used a couple of screws to fix the disc in her back. Her separated shoulder is going to heal itself. One of her legs is in a half cast I guess its called. And that is temporary till she is in a walking boot. The other leg is in a halo type set up so they can keep her from moving it. They also put a titanium rod down one of the bones of her leg. So she is banged up pretty damn good. But they say she will make a full recovery. And she should be walking with crutches in about 3 weeks. Modern medicine is amazing.

Health
Well I went into the emegency room a couple of nights ago for strep throat and while there they tested my blood next thing I know they have me in a bed running IV's into me and injecting insulin into my arm. Seems over the last few months my sugar has been on the rise and with the infection and all it spiked up to 654 in the ER. So well needless to say I am now a diabetic...on the pills. It really sucks that this happened and there's nothing I can do about it. I just wish I didn't have to put Liz through this. I'm sure I'll be ok I just have to take my meds on time, watch my diet, exercise, and keep an eye on my blood sugar levels. I've been able to get it down around 2oo so far and keep it right about there. God does a diabetics diet suck...I can't eat or drink hardly anything I used to be able too. Well I'll keep everyone updated. And BTW we have set a wedding date that hopefully we won't have to reschedule, March 14 2009.

No Loitering
After two weeks in Belize, J and I flew to Atlanta, where we had an overnight stay on the way home. I'd booked a room at the Hyatt downtown, and, after a debacle at the airport concerning Belizian hot sauce, Xanax, and a wildly tattooed man, we took the train downtown and checked in to our hotel. Ya know I never believed in that whole men and women can't be in a platonic relationship. I always though why can't they. If you're really good friends and that's all you are, then why the hell not. 1986:My sister had a couple of friends over and we had our four-wheeler and the dirt bike out. My neighbor Mike had his 250r 3-wheeler out and my other neighbor Byron and I got on it. I was in the Air Force at the time and I had a 3-day drive to report to a new posting in Nova Scotia. I was distracted by a bee that was crawling around on my leg and I took the car flying through a barrier and over an embankment...never even hit the brakes.
