TOKYO - A Japanese government website crashed Wednesday as people raced to take up an offer of a half-price McDonald's hamburger in exchange for pledging to fight global warming. So I was talkin to my mom about names and crap like that, and how they came up with mine. Turns out that I didn't have a name for almost a month after I was born. And when my parents DID come up with a name- they picked the most common one in Russia that they could. Gramps suggested Alisa, but that was taken out fast. An Update
Well, I haven't updated in a long time, so I guess it's time I update since there's some big stuff going on and about to happen. Well, I'm done with ACC. 41 credits later and I still kept my grade point average somehow. Unfortunately, this means that I haven't been able to spend as much as time with family and friends as I wanted. Though all the hard work has paid off. I've finally been accepted to A&M. I'm now a member of the Aggie Class of 2011. It's going to be weird for me, and strange. August 8th is my last day at work. Two days later I'll be moving to College Station for the next 2 years. After that, I don't know what's going to happen. Will I move back to Austin, stay in College Station, or move somewhere else completely? We have no idea yet. Lesa is already living in College Station. She told her work she had to move by August since we were moving there for school, and about two weeks later the position opened up so she had to go. At Least I Admit It
These past few months have been a big change for me. I decided about a month ago to get help with my depression and bipolar. I was hospitalized for about 10 days. I wish I would've done it sooner though. Maybe some of the decisions I had made right before then I wouldn't have. When you don't feel good about yourself you go looking for approval elsewhere. Not a good thing to do. You will only find people who will use you and then leave you more heartbroken than before. I am lucky I guess. I didn't do anything really stupid. It is no doubt fun to make new friends. We all flirt with them here it seems. As always though, when the newness dies, and others come into focus will we fail to maintain our ties? Fighting My Fears...

Tomorrow Im off for my blood work early morning, then babysitting till Wednesday.. then off to Kirkland!!! YEHAW! Can't wait to get out of this heat! Fourth Of July
Well I hope all had a great 4th! Mine was crazy.... My husband wanted to go on the 3rd, but we did not have anyone to watch my other animals. So we took off on the 4th, went all the way up north to Usk Washington to camp at the marina there. But the water was so high on Pend Oreille River. I have not see that in ages and this late in the year..Crazy. So not camping there! So we went to Marshal Lake just above Newport Washington. But they wanted $33.00 anight for one tent. Ran from that place,lol. Find a nice spot on Half Moon Lake all to our selves, my husband and 2 children. Yeah!!! NO..you can not be this lucky not me no brakes come this way. Husband forgets tent, fry pan and the rest of the main food I bought to eat for the fourth. So we loose this camp because we have to go back home and get the other things we need especially our tent! I work days, evenings, nights, and I'm on call most weekends. However, the pay is wonderful, and it has allowed me to take care of my business. So about 9am my mom called and woke me up to tell me that Blue Boy had got out and got in a fight with 2 dogs and has some good size cuts on his face. So i went over there and checked it out and the cuts will heal but we dont know what to do to keep this from happening again. He is dog aggressive towards a few dogs but we have always been able to control him and he has never gotten out of the house to go after a dog before and we dont want this to continue. We Are Taking A Trip

i think...........i got my orders for being in the army reserves revoked! ..... i got one letter when i reactivated my self that said "status active" witch was cool. but a couple weeks ago...i got another letter in the mail where it said "status revoked" .....witch sucks but i don't suck. first of all .........i busted my ass for 2 and a half years in the regular army at ft.sill just for them to throw me out because i couldn't run 2 miles in 15 mins. My Birthday
I was born on a Monday around 4:30 PM in Somerville, TN at a small clinic on April 7, 1969. My mother was 36 yrs old and it was hard on her to have me, but we both made it...Yahhh! I weighed a lil over 6 pounds and my mother named me Vanessa Kaye Darnell. I was already an aunt when I got here. My oldest brother had a daughter that was 1 yr old when my mother had me....wierd ain't it. I grew up with my neices and nephews. We got along most of the time, but when we argued we broke off into about 3 groups and had it out by calling each other names and chasing after each other...lol. The Army Ordeal...
Well I found out that most if not all of the things my recruiter told me were complete lies. I decided not to go into the army and so didn't show for my ship date. I felt it was the right choice for me. Anyone who knows me, really knows me knows I absolutely hate lies. If I give my word then I fully intend to keep it. Unless it directly affects my children. I strictly said I did not want a job that would put me on the roads in iraq. Guess what he didn't tell me? Yep, I'd be in transport. After searching and searching for a good man I finally stopped looking and one found me. The beach house was beautiful and we had a wonderful relaxing first day at Harbor Beach. On the second day, we went out to Santa Cruz’s 26th ave. My Good Deed For The Day
I did my good deed for the day today and it felt great! 2 very good friends of mine Randy and Nancy were wanting to get married before their marraige license expired, they had already had it 7 days and were having trouble finding a minister to do a wedding for low cost. K so ive been getting migraines for years and years...they have never been able to find out what causes them. The Rub Of Things

Lost Everything In The Fire!!!
My week can't get any worse! First, someone steals a bag that had a bunch of new notebooks and a few other items of no value (I think I know who did that though) and now the worst thing that could happen did! My son's wife had a baby boy on the 8th. It should be a happy occasion but its not. We are not sure if the child is his or not. His wife has barely talked to my son since he got shipped over to Iraq. So on Fri night I went into the emergency room for chest pains, I had massive heart palpitations, and very short breath. When I went in they told me I had to have a urine test, I asked why and they said they think I could possibly be pregnant. Tuesday Update
Well I'm still practicing focusing on my positive energy while releasing any negative. It's amazing the improvement not only in my mood but my back isn't hurting as bad as before...that's where I kept my stress. Woke up yesterday with a sore throat unlike I've had in a long time. I have been practicing casting off being sick and drinking aloe vera juice, with mixed results. I started feeling better and I admit my throat isn't as sore but I'm so congested right now that it was difficult to eat, lol My mom called me today and she's almost lost her voice, though, so I consider myself lucky. I found the three questions for the Sedona Method which involves releasing negative feelings. 1)Could you let it go? 2)Would you let it go? 3)When? The cool thing about the exercise is they tell you that you can always take it back if you feel you need it. Somehow, though unnecessary, having that option has made it easier for me to get rid of stuff. I think of it as the trash folder

3 Years
So it’s officially been three years since my surgery. The past two years when the date comes, I normally just get in a blah mood. That moods leads to me thinking about all the things that I have lost in these three years. This year I’ve taken another look at it. Yes I did loose some things but not everything. I have always hated parties. For some reason being around total strangers I have nothing in common with, drinking just to feel more "relaxed" and able to talk to people I can't relate to and that I won't ever see again, and generally mope around pointless among little cliques of people is not my cup of tea. So, I get to perform the function of my job that I hate the most, one of my employees has been slacking, and in an office of economists, slacking during a recession is a BAD idea. This is a tough situation because I started a year after this guy, and went straight to being his manager...after he'd been told he was a candidate for the job I now hold. It was a busy morning, about 8:30, when an elderly gentleman in his 80's arrived to have stitches removed from his thumb. He said he was in a hurry as he had an appointment at 9:00 am I took his vital signs and had him take a seat, knowing it would be over an hour before someone would to able to see him. Thinking About The Crew
I feel very fortunate to have been blessed with 3 amazing children. I sat in bed last night thinking about them for the longest time. It's difficult always keeping things in perspective. My return home I left the Army and returned home. It did not take long to see that some things never change. Hell, even my wife could see it. Nothing I did was good enough for the rest of the family. Holidays
Well I must say the holiday season is over and done with and I made it through them sober, and loved it. First year I was ever sober for any holiday. I am proud of myself for coming this far. Never thought I would do it but I did and I am glad I did it. A bunch of peoplethought for sure that I would at least drink but so far nothing. I dont plan on going back to anything.
